Yikes! Bit of a harsh test, no? Makes me wonder just how serious this guy actually is...

We hope Galasso's kidding.

Gee, that guy is funny.

Has it not been obvious to everybody that Galasso is supposed to be a regular guy who thinks he's an evil overlord?

He seems to be Shortpacked's official strictly-comic-relief character.

I'm curious what the dynamic is going to be like after introductions are done and the regular strip starts.

Galasso is Mike's father. This will be revealed when he finds that Robin is from SEMME.

Dag, that was fast. It took 2 weeks to get a job after the initial application to Toys 'R Us back when I used to work there. My boss was eerily similar to Galasso, however. Hmm...

When I got hired at TRU, they were actively hiring for Christmas staff, and so I got my interviews immediately. I think I still got my job the next day, though, and orientation the day after...

Galasso, however, runs a weird ship.

Right, that's Christmas. I started on August or September, so they weren't quite as desperate for peoples. The way she was talking about needing Robin during Christmas made me think that was the scenario.

The downside of being around for a while like that is, of course, when Christmas hits, you're in charge and get placed in front of the angry customers. The upside is that after Christmas they usually don't fire you.

When I was hired at TRU, I was called over for an interview right after I finished filling out my application. When I got home there was a job offer on the answering machine. And this was in June. Wound up soaking up the Unlimited Comedic Potential for five and a half years. :-?

Dang, I think this just confirms my theory that our TRU hated me. Probably why I left after about 7-8 months. (Outlasted most of my managers, though).
