Old comics - anyone still has them?

Postby Nyerguds on Mon Nov 09, 2009 2:05 pm

After losing a few of my favourite webcomics to the Void, I've become an avid archiver of webcomics, and I seem to have quite a bunch of Elf Life comics that aren't on the site (yet?), like Baughb's REAL wedding. Now, I'm not sure what Cars is planning on that aspect, so unless I get some official word on that, they're just my private collection.

There's one thing I've recently found on archive.org that puzzles me though...

I don't remember ever seeing these back when I followed Elf Life. Looking at archive.org, it doesn't look like any more were posted either. But does anyone have the first five?
What's the problem when it's all right?
There's nothing left!

Howdy!

Nothing is being held back on purpose -- mostly it's an organizational thing. I've got backups of everything, but everything's a mess. I'm continuing to work on an archive system that will handle the job better, including transcripts and glossary links, that sort of thing.

Unfortunately, that archive.org page is down right now, so I'm not sure what those pages are in particular you're asking about. My own site is also down right now.

So does it mean we'll see Babes some time in the future? I think I asked on the comment bit of the comic until you changed the website again to look even more awesome.

Moving to ComicPress on elflife.net greatly increases the liklihood of restoring lots of old comics. ComicPress is even more awesome than I imagined!

Also... my new server would allow me to create my own forum. It's premature to talk too seriously about that now, but we used to enjoy RPGing. Our own dedicated forum -- at last -- would make that possible again, when we build the traffic back up enough.
