I'm seriously thinking if it's worth it buying another year of Premium...
Keenspot has had several comics become part of them this year, but not of Premium...
Wapsi Square, Checkerboard Nightmare, Basil Flint, Count Your Sheep, etc ....
None of theses is on Warpkeen yet...

Ever since Comic Alert came out, Warpkeen doesn't look that "keen" anymore...

And as for Premium content we don't have that much... Melpomene has ended a long time ago and you can't read the last comic of Cesilee's Diary without belonging to Premium...

It's seems Gav and Chris have forgotten about their "Premium" members...

We're probably not even getting "goodies" this year...

I agree that it'd be wonderful to have all Keenspot comix available via Warpkeen. (It'd be great if someone fixed it, too... Growl.) Until now I assumed (but have no evidence) that some authors allow their stuff on Warpkeen and some don't. Can Gav or someone comment on this?

I had comics slated to be only Premium... there was just one problem. So far, it's a matter of money. I make more by offering my comics for free with the banner ads than I calculate I can make on a premium only comic. http://www.shivae.net/blackrose Black Rose was supposed to be a premium only comic. I will possibly do Alien Dice Legacy as premium only, plus there's extra story pages in AD. I might start redoing Campus Safari with extra content/revisions from the beginning as premium only accessible. So it's not that Gav and co are neglecting it... it's just that we, the cartoonists... #1, already do a free comic, #2, have to find time to do another comic for Premium. On #2.... I worry about not being able to meet the updates so I've stopped plugging anything BUT Cesilee's Diary. With adding Abby's Agency to my artwork pile,... I can't do anything else. :/ And I don't want to start pulling comics to put them behind the Premium wall just to have content.

Honestly... I'm starting to think that it'd be better for Keenspot to look for people to be PREMIUM only and not do a free comic. :D

You know that's actually a good idea?
And you know what might be a good idea? Quality and reliable RSS feeds for Premium members...
And maybe Premium KeenTOONS content?
Or maybe exclusive Keenswag items?
Anyway, I do believe the Premium members have been neglected a bit... :(

Just look at the "other exclusive webcomic clubs"...
-Club Clango (Diesel Sweeties) members get stickers and printed comics and doodles...
-Kell's Angels (Kevin & Kell) get a pin and the comic emailed to them, you sometimes get them in advance!
-Defender's of the Nifty (Sluggy Freelance) members get exclusice content, items, access to auctions, you can store your favorite strips...
-Sebo's Kitty Klub (Clan of the Cats) gives you an exclusive comic unavailible to non-members and wallpapers...
Having nothing to worry about makes me nervous...

Warpkeen bugs are being fixed right now.

"Goodies" were discontinued because Keenspotters weren't supplying enough sketches to keep up with subscriptions.

RSS feed is being considered.

I think we all got comics and nobody got sketches... :P
RSS might be a good idea, Comic Alert is far from perfect, you usually get notified late and sometimes more than once... :(

Well i for one would be very happy if all the keenspot comics would have premium only weekly archives. Some comics already have them but a lot of others (like RPG world, Dominic Deegan or S.S.D.D) doesn't. Maybe this could be implemented into warpkeen so that the artists doesn't even have to change anything on their site?

BTW what ever happened to the premium content of schlock mercenary?

Zoinks.

It took all day, but I was able to effect some improvements to the Warpkeen system. The primary changes you'll notice is that all the new Keenspot Comics are now added, and there are no pesky broken pog images on your preference page. Also, the full titles appear there now, not some weird single-word comic code. I realize that more improvements could be made, but I've been at it a while and will save those for a future occasion.

You'll have to ask Howard about his PREMIUM content.

Thanks! Our voice has been heard!
Hmm, for the moment the new comics apear in Warpkeen as broken link images, except Dominic Deagan, Sorethumbs, Striptease, Eat the Roses (Since when is Eat the Roses a part of Keenspot? I never noticed it before!) and Abbys Agency (Isn't this the new one that was going to appear on the newspaper?)

But since the blackground color for the prefences page is black! You can

Can you be more specific? Everything I tried worked just fine.

As for the broken images, you maybe saw it while I was still working on it? Any image that's missing should now be replaced by a blank "O". I see the links just fine. Could you perhaps right click and check the Properties on the broken images and tell me the exact URL? Also, try doing a shift-refresh in case it's a caching problem (not by now, I wouldn't expect).

All the comic names are links. Thus, on my browser at least, the background of the prefs page is black, but the link color is teal green. Are you seeing differently? What browser are you using?

Eat the Roses snuck in quietly. I don't think she's officially relaunched yet, so it's still quiet, though this is the worst kept secret I've been privvy to in a long time.

Abby's Agency is, indeed, made for print, but we've also given it a website: http://www.abbysagency.us/

All The links looks the same on the prefs page...
I just noticed that there are more than 51 comics to choose and yet I can only choose 51....
I'm using Firefox now, but IE gives me the same result...

Hmm. Most of those links actually work fine for me, except for Zebra Girl. Oh, and I see the "text as broken image" problem. That looks like a programming thing, though strange it hasn't happened before.

It looks to me like I forgot to update the serial number when I added new domains to our DNS, which could have been part of the problem, though it shouldn't affect some strips and not others from the same comic.

Anyway, it often takes several hours for DNS changes to take effect when you've already tried to visit the site, so I have to wait to see if this will fix Zebra Girl. All the other links you've posted above that I've tried have been fine so far.

Oh, and Felicity was broken, though I'm not sure why you got a Basil Flint comic in its place. Shoulda just been broken. But I fixed it.

As for why the selection only goes up to 51, that's a much deeper issue that I'll have to look into.

I didn't mean to say I got a Basil Flint strip,I meant to say that on top of the strip/broken image, I see Basil Flint...

They all seem to work now!
:D

I hope you work out the 51 comic limit, I had to kick out a few to see the new ones... Althought most of them seem to be on hiatus (the ones I kicked out):(

It appears to be a hardwired number, which is unfortunate, though easy to increase. I went ahead and raised it to 100.
