Since art is not the truth, but rather a lie that makes us realize the truth, I heartily endorse the theme for the week and encourage Matt make the most of the expression: Let sleeping dogs lie.
Aside to Matty. You seem to have forgotten Rule #1: Puns -- Never apologize, never explain. I really have to work on your shamlessness (and who better than I?)
------------------

I'll lay 8-to-5 there are losties out there with something to say who just need a little encouragement. Who'll fade me?
And what does "fade me" mean, exactly.
And is Peanut sleeping on top of the chair a subtle homage to Peanuts' Snoopy sleeping on top of his doghouse?
------------------

Hello L and F posting community. How is everyone? I am de little Chihuahua that Milligan is talking so much about. And for my first post onto this great site I'm addressing the Peanut reference-
Well - AccordionDad,
You always like to read into things don't you? De fact dat Peanut is on de chair does not matter, what matters is that Milligan has a great strip on is hands. Yes a great comic strip with de Frank and de Max and de crimes it's a great strip . . . FOR ME TO POOP ON!
And on a side note to Milligan-
Stop fooling me with de doorbell thing too, it's getting kind of old.
(for dose of you who aren't in de inner circle of Milligan- Matty in an effort to put me out before he goes to work, gets me to come out to de door by ringing de doorbell. Thus- triggering some ancient K9 reflex for me to come running down de stairs, barking and running to de door where dere is no one but Milligan.)

Thank you, and good evening-
Yoda

(this is one of L&F's biggest fans taking on the character of Yoda, I wouldn't want Matt's fans to think he's having conversations with himself)
[This message has been edited by Yoda (edited 03-14-2001).]

Why? Why would you assume the identity of Yoda?
Yoda is real, man. Yoda is a cool dog. I want to hear from the REAL Yoda.
You know, there are people out there that don't believe in Snoopy, Hobbes, Monique, Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, St.Patrick! These are real, man! REAL PEOPLE!
No more tom-foolery (or matt-foolery or kim-foolery or john-foolery or david-foolery) okay?
I want the real McCoy, oops, I mean, Yoda! After all, Max writes for himself, doesn't he? DOESN'T HE?
I'm dog-tired of all these impostors. I wish the police would collar them all. Unless they flea the scene of the crime. Then the police chief would be in the dog-house with the citizenry. They would give him say, eight - okay nine (a little sublime - CANINE) days to get the crime solved. He'd have to turn to L&F Investigations, wouldn't he?

Padre-
Yes- Yoda is a cool dog, but if you were actually talking to the real Yoda you wouldn't get more than a bark or a couple growls out of him, and that's only after doing a danse macabre right in front of his face.

To Padre: You're right about the foolery. I believe people should speak for themselves. And I don't think for a minute the REAL Yoda would say "For me to poop on". He's barely tall enough to poop on the grass. I mean, really.
To Yoda: Am I reading in? Let's see... The dog is named after a strip which Matt started imitating in 1973, and I see you in a pose strikingly similar to the dog from that strip which is the character Matt started imitating first. You're right. I'm jumping to conclusions. I apologize.
To the REAL Yoda: Hey, bud. Get out of the snow already. That doorbell is just NEVER going to be a visitor for YOU. Go nest on the couch or something.
------------------

Johnski said "if you were actually talking to the real Yoda you wouldn't get more than a bark or a couple growls out of him, and that's only after doing a danse macabre right in front of his face."
Danse Macabre is a medieval symbolic representation of death. In more recent times, it is a dance supposedly performed by skeletons in the graveyard. It was generally thought to have been influenced by the 14th century epidemics of bubonic plague in Europe. Danse Macabre is also the title of a well-known symphonic poem for orchestra written by composer Saint-Sa

This has become a deadly thread.
I stiffened when I saw the direction it was taking.
It took my breath away and made me start coffin and chokin'.
I thought it might be a bad dream so I screamed out, "Wake me! Wake me!"
I ran and jumped into a long, black station wagon-type car. A lady ran out of a house and told me it wasn't my car. I said it was. She said it was hearse, not mine!
I wanted to phone the police, but it wasn't the appropriate time. They said there were specific calling hours.
I realized it was a grave situation.
I was digging for more clues to figure this all out. I ran into Mick and Keith and the rest - I wanted to know who was the head Stone? The didn't say a word. I guess they had been told to keep a lid on it. They just want to bury this story and rest in peace. Oh well.............

Oh Dear, dear Yoda.
As a priest I need to check out everything that relates to my vocation/profession.
So, I checked out this strip called "Sinfest." And people try to tell me that God and Monique are not real. How dare they............
