You know, sometimes I get nosey and I check out the profiles of people participating in the Forum.
You know, sometimes I see that the participants list their occupation as student.
You know, I then notice that they are, like, well, Keenspotter Grand Poohbahs with hundreds and hundres of posts.
You know, I then think back to when I was a student - high school, college, seminary, and man, oh man, I didn't have enough time to get books read and papers written - let alone go surfing and playing on the net.
You know, I didn't even get good grades with all that work.
You know, I feel like I don't know anything, especially compared to this great crop of modern students.
You know, I feel so-o-o-o-o stupid!
You know?

Of course, for some of us, "The Net" was merely that bundle of wires that connected our PDP-11 terminals over in the computer center, where we had to hike from our classrooms when we wanted to access something more powerful than our PacMan games.
And for others of us, "The Net" was no more than the thing you bundled your hair up into before serving your classmates the ground-animal-and-potato dish of the day.
The, um, EXPECTATIONS are a little different. Hard to remember that being SMARTER isn't the same as knowing more THINGS.
------------------

Well,
If I was connected with St. Rose and took Basket Weaving 101, then maybe I'd feel
"se-e-e-e-e-w" stupid, but I'll go with what's in print!

All right, all right, let's just make easy with the college jokes, there, seminarian. sooner or later somebody's gonna say something mean, and since I'm the one who went to school in Hoboken ("I'm dyin' again!"), I'm afraid it's going to be to me. Of course, not being able to keep my MOUTH shut is part of the problem, I suppose....
------------------

You're assuming that those of

to do, but actually spend all our time
on the internet reading comics are SMART!?!

Bud can sculptures, Moosehed cap mosaics, bar coaster posters... Ummm, not that I _did_ any of these. I mean, for any of my aunts that are reading this stuff.
------------------

Hey,
I thought the "Net" in college was that thing you hit the volleyball over.
Anyhow, we "Geniuses" in the business commonly refer to the "Net" as the "Web". This, however, also leads to some confusion because in college the "Web" is that thing in the corner of your dorm room where your pet spider lives.
