It's not MAD science...just disappointed.

... such that "n-sooth" is a regular expression.

Sorry, I have nothing to add. I'm too busy giggling.

This is why King Luca is in a Nukee department at Berkley - he grasps the natural outcome of adding forsooth and forsooth.

I'm sure the outcome of adding forsooth and forsooth is many things, but not certain that 'natural' is one of them.

lets see...

$foo =~ "n-sooth";

yep, it's a regular expression all right. Just not a very interesting one. :)

or perhaps you mean:

$foo =~ "1-sooth";
$foo =~ "2-sooth";
$foo =~ "3-sooth";
etc.

In which case your statement is false. They are all valid regular expressons.

Eh? That surely makes the statement TRUE, doesn't it? :-?

(I really need to find some way of working "eightsooth!" into my conversation somehow... but it will be hard)

Thank you. You wouldn't believe the lengths I went through to avoid my mandatory computer science classes -- in the end the prospect of losing about
