<Trumpets blaring!>
As of 3pm on this day of Friday, March 24, 2000, Nukees and it's associated Nuclides officially declares war on the following Keenspot message boards:
Hound's Home
It's Walky!
Avalon
Our first strategy will be to take over these, the three most posted-on message boards. It is important that we quash our most powerful enemies first, then when we have succeeded, the rest will be easy pickings.
Your missions:
1) Post on these message board declaring the sovereignty of Nukees over them. Demand that they join our just cause as subordinates or be nuked into oblivion.
2) As weaponry, use the graphics that will be provided on the following page:
http://www.nukees.com/war.html
At the moment, I don't have many graphics up there yet, but the availability will grow. I encourage people to use these graphics, plus graphics off of the website of the comic we are attacking to create battle scenes in which Nukees is victorious.
3) Try to gain allies to our cause. Maritza and her CRFHites are our allies. Try to find more that will join us in our crusade! This is especially important as our numbers are currently strong and dedicated, but few.
4) Report your victories back here. Titles and honors will be bestowed on the most heroic Nuclides.
And, in case it wasn't properly implied...
ATTACK!!!

Despite the username, that post was really made by King Luca, wasn't it?
------------------

Chris Crosby is now officially an ally, so don't attack CRFH!!! or Superosity. As there has been little resistance, I give you license to attack any message board you want, but report back here when you do. There is now an image at http://www.nukees.com/war.html of Danny and a trebuchet you can use. Weapons will get larger as the battle rages!

Well... depends on how you think. If you like to distinguish nuclear weapons and conventional weapons, and you are overly concerned about the PR issues, yes, it is stupid. If you think of nuclear bombs as just another way to make things go boom, then this device makes sense.
This device was designed for a land war with the USSR. It allowed infantry to deliver a punch when and where they needed it, without destroying the entire country side.
Probably the reason it is no longer deployed is that 1) Metal-air and Fuel-air bombs can deliver a similar punch without radiation issues, and 2) Air superiority is almost a fore-gone conclusion. (It would take a lot heavier hardware to have a rocket launched fuel-air bomb, but the Davy Crocket could be operated from a jeep, and possibly cary several warheads.)

quote:

(RE: Davy Crocket)
... Also I think the "Davy Crocket" is one of those "dial-a-yield", with optional yields from .01 kT-TNT up to 1 kT-TNT. Using it at the small end might be advisable because the launch range of one version is only a little above one mile.
W
