Hmmm... Could Danny be mistaking Furries with Muppets? You rarely see Muppets below the belt.

Furry: Anthropomorphic animals.
Many of the Muppets were furries. (not all)
Also you did frequently see muppets below the belt
As Kermit once proudly announced he dose not wear pants.

Lots of furry comics on KeenSpot and at one time I believe STrRedWolf was one of the admin for what is now Comic Genesis.
I know it's popular to relate furry to some sort of sick fetish (mostly because some jerk tracked me down from MZDM to YTMND so he could scream about fursuit sex leaving me totally confused) but I'd think a place with so many furries already on it wouldn't go there.
