Forfeit the bail?

My understanding of bail is that it is only forfeit if the defendant fails to appear in court or in some other way violates the terms of bail. Guilt or innocence is irrelevant. I looked it up online and I don't see anything about bail be forfeit in America because of a guilty verdict.

Think it varies a little from state to state. But aye, even with a guility verdict, if you show up at your court date, 90% or some such is returned. The rest goes for court fees and crap like that.

I think the critical detail is he shows up and is sent to jail.

Not gonna happen.
