I can safely say I got all the so-called "jokes" in SOAR yet, but one...
Stu Dinty Moore?
I know it's some sort of play on words on something like that, but I still don't get it after all this time... Maybe it's because English is just my second second language, or simply because I'm too intelligent. Who knows?
------------------

Dinty Moore Stew was a staple back in my Boy Scout days. Once we substituted dog food and served it to the scoutmaster, and he liked it better.

Aaah... Not only was I not aware of the very existence of canned beef stew, I also had the mistaken impression that the "Stu" fitted in the whole thing. How could I err so? It boggles the mind.
Oh, wait... Stew/Stu! Whoa! Talk about cosmic!
Boy scout food, eh? The only foodstuff that traumatized me enough to remember today was... hmm... chinese p

While it is true that we ate it a lot, we did not ever actually switch it with dogfood and feed it to the scoutmaster. (Although we thought it would be cool to do so.)
The only semi-edible substance we ever tricked anyone into eating was Aim toothpaste, in the form of cake frosting. The reasoning behind this is no longer entirely clear...

I stand corrected. For some reason, I keep forgetting about Mr. Naylor. (Probably the medication.) Anyhoo, we offered it to him but didn't actually let him eat it. (Well, you and I didn't stop him, some other weenies did. I meant the collective we in that case.)
But, I will quibble more about the pepper thing. THAT never happened...
