Bob, I don't think that Max was being trivial. The other day, my six year old son ate the last Dove Bar and left the empty box in the freezer. After dinner, I was very excited to see that there were still Dove Bars left. Imagine my disappointment when I realized the box was empty. I told him that he can't watch the "Power Puff Girls" for 6 weeks. He cried for hours. I don't care. Gotta teach the little bugger a lesson.<P>------------------

Hope nobody misinterprets my Sept. 18 strip to think I was somehow making light of tragedy. My point, the extent that I ever have a point about anything, was take note of how we've been forced to grapple with momentous events while at the same time going on with out little (in Max's case, <I>very</I> little) lives.

But I keep watching the Power Puff girls. I really that that "Bubbles". She's my favorite. The professor is pretty cool, too. Not to mentions the schoolteacher. And I like to watch it every night at 8:30 and then tell my son how great it was. He always cries when I do that. Then I always say, "You're crying like a girl! You sissy!"
