Hey!
New to the boards and the comic, Just thought I would congratulate Josh on his fine web comic and ask a couple of questions: Josh, Just Out of curiosity why did you make Ceilidh scottish? Im not complaining! being scottish its interesting to see the portrail of a scottish character in a webcomic Just wondered if its purely based on guesswork or if its based on experience of scottish people
Hopefully gonna get my own webcomic up and running soon too, (If keenspace EVER activate my account) Scotish based university gag strip (Need to get off my arse and start drawing it tho).
Anyway, great art, great comic!
cheers
[This message has been edited by Savant_Guarde (edited 12-30-2001).]

I think I chose the name, *then* chose the character to attach to it. :-) I'm not sure if I've done anything explicitly Scottish with Ceilidh other than her parents' poorly-rendered accents, so I'm not sure if any incorrect representation of her culture is worth my worrying over.
JOSH.
------------------

Yeah The "Mon" is a bit Jamican i fear, mind you depends what part of Scotland you're from. In the highlands they still get taught Gaelic as well as English so there are a real range of accents (Well probrably only to people who live here). luckily i can supress or exagerate the accent at will (tho alchohol releases it fully!)
And aparently I am clan........(asks) Buchanan. which has the most god awful tartan! ugh.

My grandmother was Scottish of clan Maxwell (by way of Utah).
Our tartan is pretty nice.
Oh, and since Mary Gates was a Maxwell as well, that makes me related to Bill Gates.
