Dear Celtic Enthusiasts:
Looking over the holiday offering, I was reminded that I don't know the pronunciation for Ceilidh's brother, Ciaran. As I recall from the archives (which I can't get to without losing this $#^@%$ forum screen and having to start over), it was several weeks into the strip before Ceilidh's name was "pronounced" for us (Kay-Lee).
So, how is Ciaran pronounced? And what about other family members?
And while I'm on the subject, why can't the Celts use better transcription of their language? I'm extremely frustrated when I try to tell someone the title of a Clannad song and can't come close to pronouncing it right. (It must be a Brit conspiracy....)

------------------

I've got a friend who pronounces it "key-ar-un", but it's probably just a dialectical thing
or... he could be an idiot, whatever works
------------------

Key-ar-un works too, but for this particular Ciaran it's Keer-un. ^__^

I'm currently using my brother-in-law's system, and I'm not sure how well his ancient system would take such new-fangled approaches (he's still on Windblows 95, and the asthmatic squirrel powering his hard drive sounds more than ready to retire...).
I will also backtrack to the cast page, thanks for that suggestion.
Happy holidays, y'all!

Pff, Windows 95 isn't that old - I was browsing twelve sites with that OS on a regular basis. Dinky little 233 MHz, 64 Meg RAM. Heck, my friend with a -60- MHz could do multiple browser windows
