last night i had a full blown Avalon Fan-fic dream, and it went like this...
The Premise: A live action (with CGI) telling of 'Avalon, The Greatest Story Ever Told' (A-TGSET) set in Avalon, but spanning the world in plot lines and location, with The Cast made up from Avalon character exact matches, and lots of bit-parts/cameos by forum/#avalon members, often for comedy relief, no big name stars.
Setting: Avalon (duh) however, for budget reasons, the filming was done around North Cornwall, North Devon and West Somerset, prehaps because I've spent most of my life there and know the area, and because, other than the drug/moneystupid people problems, it's similar to Avalon... However, on-location filming is also done in Australia (Mechwarrior section) and Siberia (for teh broomstick chase scene)
All of the story writers and production staff are drawn from the forums/#avalon, hence the rather mixed setting of countries and plot elements that occur (said broomstick chase over siberia, Pheeb's broomstick having a red hair dye vapour trail, and a meeting with an old semi-retired Mechwarrior etc)
The end result? being an independant film, it has a small release to try and build up to a full, international showing, the first playing of this run is in Josh's home town, where teh whole place turn out to the local cinema to honour him (the whole outside is re-decorated praising him)
one thing that sets this film aside from the norm, is that it's an epic production, spanning about half a day, and as such needs to be shown over 3 sucessive evenings, everyone thinks this is great becasue not only do they get a huge film (always a good thing) but they also get time to discuss the plot/character development between episodes
however all almost turns to disaster when on the 3rd and final first run night, the film is about to start when it's noticed the whole cinema is empty, even Josh isn't there, we (the producers, ie us) suddenly realise that Soul Train is in town (Charlies Angels, dance club thing) and the entire town are there tonite (special DDR section added to it y'see)
the solution? we all go there and out dance them, they then see the error of their ways and return for teh final, climatic chapter of Avalon, The Greatest Story Ever Told...
...

"All right, it's instinctive. But the instinct can be fought. We're human beings with the blood of a million savage years on our hands. But we can stop it. We can admit that we're killers but we're not going to kill today. That's all it takes-knowing that we're not going to kill...today. ... Peace or utter destruction-it's up to you." --James T. Kirk

Got yer beat there. Last night I didn't dream for a very simple reason. Because last night I didn't sleep. Spent the whole night lying awake worrying about my PhD applications.
The annoying thing being that the biggest obstacle to their completion is rather out of my hands.
K.A.H.
Ph.D., or so I would like to delude myself into thinking....

Don't I wish!
They have straightforward monster chasing you nightmares.
Survival horror games has made those nightmares kinda fun.
I'm stuck getting nightmares that scare me.
