I agree completly. I would like to voice my own thanks to the fan artists. The things you create really enhances the experience of this comic.
And to Josh, an unending stream of praise and thanks. Your work is incredible, as is evidenced by the amount of fan art, fics and even *MUSIC* you have inspired.
I'm really looking forward to the final year, even though I wish it didn't have to end >_<. It is a logical point to end it, though, so as to avoid a SBtB occurance
I can't wait to see what else comes out of that twisty mind of yours. Whatever it is, it will certainly be an amazing experience to read.
Here's to you, Josh. *raises glass*
------------------
"All right, it's instinctive. But the instinct can be fought. We're human beings with the blood of a million savage years on our hands. But we can stop it. We can admit that we're killers but we're not going to kill today. That's all it takes-knowing that we're not going to kill...today. ... Peace or utter destruction-it's up to you." --James T. Kirk

Well we're at it... here's a leegin' huge thank you to all the readers out there, especially the ones who spend so much of their time and interest in the forum, the IRC channel, in fan art/fiction/music... :-) You guys are the reason why Avalon's gotten this far, and a fan community like this is just about everything an artist could hope to achieve.
*Raises a nice, cold KLB Raspberry Wheat*
JOSH.

Yipe! I'm on the fanart page! Hee. Maybe I should draw something else now...keep that first one from feeling lonely.
Anyway, looking through the fanart, I was struck by an overwhelming urge to break my lurking streak and thank all the fan-artists on the forum. Sure, the art isn't for me, but I really enjoy it, so thanks, everyone, for sharing it. If I could draw half as well as most of you, I wouldn't stop -- not even to eat.
And while I'm at it, miles and miles of thanks to Josh. Happy second anniversary! I can't even imagine the amount of dedication it takes to keep after a story that will take years to tell, but I'm certainly glad you do it.
*hoists a glass in the general direction of the Avalon community*
-rune-

And the accolades will get larger yet, Fool. Case in point...
I usually don't say anything about posted fan art, because everything that I want to say has already been said. As such, it usually has Johnny Me-too's signature all over it.
But I'll say it now, and I'll say it loud, so that you won't forget. You people are all amazing. All of you.
To the artists and colourists: you guys never fail to entertain and enthrall me. You guys are allowed to take a character, and peer so deep into their personality that the microscope lens cracks from hitting the slide. And at the same time, you're allowed to take the characters far, far away from a fictional town in Ontario, and recreate them in a manner full of wonder and excitement. Thank you.
To the poets and writers: You guys have turned the world of Avalon into a universe. The larger works are a rollercoaster, where the passengers are building the course as the ride progresses, jumping in just long enough to scream with everyone else, before jumping out to work on the next turn. The shorter works are even more wonderful: They're the ones I can finish reading in a single sitting. : ) No matter the length or the topic, you people add layer upon layer to this comic. Thank you.
To the composer(s?): Art has no boundaries, and you've proved this by taking a comic strip into an entirely non-visual medium, and doing it very well, at that. Marshall McLuhan would be proud. Thank you.
To the GAS creators: After a week of building tension, the bubble pops as you throw a pie right in the face of twistiness. Is there anything more important than that? After a Friday cliffhanger, it doesn't seem that way. Thank you.
To all the Lynchers: None of this would have been possible without your support, not only for the comic, but for every artist who's submitted work. You people are the audience artists dream of at night, and your applause fuels the imagination of even more art. Thank you.
To Josh: Re-read this post, substituting the words artists, colourists, writers, poets, and Lynchers with the word "Josh". That'll have to do for now, but wait until you see the 'thank you' you've got coming for the third anniversary...
To Avalon! *raises a glass of potato chips*
...
potato chips?

Well, Dent said it better than I ever could, so I just have to second his noble accolades.
Thank you to everyone, especially Josh. You folks constantly amaze me with your artistic and comedic abilities. When college gets me down, I need only turn to Avalon to relive the glory days of my own high school experience (not that I ever had a girl like Ceilidh for my own).
Edradour on the rocks, raised in general salute.
------------------
