Hmm. Cryptic references. A missing acronym. And a winky-face.
My nose is twitching...

First of all... did anyone notice the change to the archive pages? :-) I lightened the HTML files a bit... they're a heck of a lot simpler now, and are mostly table-free, so they should load a heck of a lot faster. Let me know if things have improved at all, or if you find any problems.
Also... I still haven't removed the Guest Artist Sundays from the archive yet. When I do, I presume the 404's in the weekly view will disappear (so you don't need to point those errors out to me. :-) ). Just as a sneak preview of things to come... I intend to remove the GAS strips for Thurs. Nov. 8th, when I do a mass update of the Art section for Avalon's 2nd anniversary.
JOSH.
------------------

Looks just fine for me in Opera and Konqueror on Linux, and Galeon/Mozilla on FreeBSD. Can't say as it renders any quicker, though, since the site is being painfully slow for me right now.

For extra credit, try moving as much style info as possible into a CSS stylesheet shared by all pages. ;)

I just ran http://www.avalonhigh.com/d/20011024.html through the W3C HTML Validator and it went nuts (since it has no DOCTYPE, I tried as both HTML 4.01 Transitional and HTML 3.2). Lots of nonexistent attributes, some duplicate attributes, TRs missing TABLE start-tags, etc.
I'd be curious as to how well it displays in Mozilla-based browsers and Opera.
For extra credit, try moving as much style info as possible into a CSS stylesheet shared by all pages.
------------------

I'm doing alright Nick.
I don't understand computer talk either, even though most of my friends at school are in the comp science dept. I guess osmosis doesn't really work for me.
And I get confused easily by things like GAS!
so that i look totally silly. My mind was yelling the word gas and thinking of GBS and just puttering around in an oblivious state. Luckily Josh said a few choice words to get me out of it.
I'm constantly amazed that my high english SAT scores from high school, putting me above most (not all) of the population does nothing for me when I chat on this message board. It's as if all the synapses don't connect.
But other than that, things are going well. Been enjoying my Painting 2 class (woohoo pretty oil colors!) and doing my best to hack out some good prose for my Prose Writing class. I've been trying not to steal all my old journal entries and cut and paste them into my homework. It would be nice to keep working and write some new stuff. Theoretically anyway...I'm having problems with a writer's block of some sort. icky.
How about you?
Oh, and Josh, do you want this conversation in another thread since we are going off topic?
