I don't recall seeing this addressed, at least as it's own topic, so at the risk of being redundant, I'll ask.
Where do folks see the characters moving to after this coming year? Studying what? Despite Joe and Alan's exam study habits, they all seem like smart kids. Or, at least, not a bunch of bums. University rep visits are around the corner and OUAC will be handing out those forms and extorting money to pass your applications on to universities.
Let's see:
Ryan: Computer Science, hands down. I'll say, University of Waterloo. Go Warriors! (No bias here, whatsoever. Honest.)
It'd be interesting if he did go to Waterloo and convinced a reluctant Dierdre to complete her degree at Guelph. At only 15km away, they could still spend some serious hanky-panky time together. Or better yet, at Wilfred Laurier: she'd be across the street!
Ceilidh: Mass Media? Journalism? Not sure where good schools are for this, but I'll guess it won't be at Ottawa. (Sorry, Josh.) Why? Because she doesn't want to be near her brother, that's why!
Alison: What the hell, I'll say Psychology. She's already analyzing the hell out of everyone, including herself. I'll say either a big school, like the University of Toronto (or, ugh, York University). Or, she'll get sick of everybody and want to study far away. Way out at Lakehead University.
Joe: Do we know what Joe's academics are like? Anybody got a guess? Engineering like his mother? I'll guess he won't be going to RMC, though. McMaster, Toronto or Waterloo.
Alan: Arts Non-Major at Brock.
Phoebe: I'm stuck with this one. Women's Studies?
Helene: Childhood Education at Queen's. Or, as a friend thinks, following Reese Witherspoon and becoming a lawyer. (Now there's a spooky though.)
Nancy: Political Science at the University of Western Ontario. PM's office, here she comes!
Ghada: Ok, she's already gone, but we don't know where her academic inclinations lie. She could be anywhere.
Naturally, I'm assuming local (i.e. Ontario) universities here. Don't mean to exclude the rest of you folks.
------------------

Technically my suggestion for Helene was Harvard Law School, so that doesn't qualify as an Ontario university. And don't overlook the potential for some of the characters to go on to college, of course. Plenty of those around here.
