Does anyone (besides Dragonflare) really begrudge them?
Come on people, just because happiness is hard to find, doesn't justify attacking it when it appears.

Ah, Mr. Adrian. I see you have yet to experience the full force of encountering someone suffering from severe PSL.

I like DD.. not for the lust part.. but for some reason.. the one characer in avalon that I clicked with. Besides I find her mature, cute and I love long hair (Red is good too). Ok maybe it is lust. I'm male and I'm alive. Give me a break
------------------

Okay, random question here - is it just me, or does anyone else think Ceilidh looks a lot like Deirdre in 2:211.3? It's the expression on her face - looks like Deedee in 2:158.3 - kinda freaked me, given that we know Deirdre had to leave Avalon in dubious circumstances...
I don't know - maybe I'm just imagining it...
Anyway, regarding Deedee and Ryan, I'm sure the storyline will get back to them soon enough...
---

I have plans to "remove" him :P hehe anyways enjoy the strip and lets get this show on the road.
Thanks
------------------

Sorry, DragonFlare, Damonk has prior dibs on her. Actually prior to Ryan. Heh. Sounds like me and a friend of mine (from Canada, amusingly enough)... which showed me long distance relationships rarely work - after all, a real live person who can hold you and such is much more real and immediate than a voice on the phone and words on a computer screen.
And anyway, Damonk rules. So you, my boy, are going down. Bwahahahahaha!!!!!!
------------------

The only way it can work, in my experience anyway, is if it is established over a short distance for long enough that the people involved are certain they can survive the long distance phase.
My parents have been through several long distance phases (most recently for nine months on opposite sides of the Atlantic last year), but they had been going out/married for a long time by then and they knew it was a very temporary arrangement. As such, they're still happily married (their thirtieth anniversary is this year).
By contrast, my brother, my sister, and I have all been in long-distance relationships that have disintegrated for various reasons, not least of which were (a) it just doesn't provide the degree of comfort a short-distance relationship can provide, and (b) especially at our ages, people change very rapidly, and if they live hundreds of miles apart, they'll change in different directions and before long they'll be different, incompatible people; they probably won't realise it for a long time, either.
That's not to say it doesn't provide SOME comfort, of course, and they can be nice while they work. Friendship is much the same. Lordy, if it weren't for some of my long-distance friends I probably wouldn't be here. Of course, not being able to hear a tone of voice or see the expression on a person's face does hamper words as a communicative medium, but if the words are potent enough, they can get around that.
K.A.H.

I am a Ryan. The fact that Ryan can get a girl like Deedee helps me climb out of bed in the afternoon (I live for the midnight shift, but since libraries are only open during the day, I often forgo sleep).
I just wish I could find a girl like her who could put up with me and my annoying habits and behaviors, and most importantly, my father! Augh!

I'm more like 75% Ryan and 25% Joe. And I also hope maybe I'll find a girl who'll put up with me :
Dandin
------------------
