Bah, Joe did well, under the circumstances. The circumstances were very, very difficult.
Also, he hasn't finished yet.
As for "inner monologue"... most relationship problems come from people not talking to eachother. I think this would be a case in point.
If Joe had tried making her "just a friend", without telling her why, she would had drawn all the wrong conclusions and he would really have fugged up.
------------------

I don't think he screwed it up. The *whimper* is more A Very Messed Up Ceilidh sitting there quivering. I don't know of a no-loss scenario for him on this. It's playing it as well as he can, and I agree with everything he's saying.
Do you ever feel like this is a weird version of the situation in BEING JOHN MALKOVICH?

He definitely hasn't messed up yet - in fact, he's well on the way to winning the biggest prize of all (see my thread "Witch Hunts and Lynch Mobs" before jumping to conclusions). I'm really happy to see even this level of progress. Now hopefully he can keep going...
GO ON, JOE! GO, GO, GO!
And Ceileigh - keep quiet and keep listening!
Geez, I get too wrapped up in these things...

Yeah, but I get the feeling that CATS would go over better with most of us here... all those REAL LIVE FURRIES, you know. Not that there's anything really WRONG with that...
(Mmm... Victoria...)
