Eh, unless it's good, depressing poetry can be especially stupid. And that just makes me more depressed than that poetry ever could. Just look at any Goth's webpage. But I suppose if it makes them happy, that's fine.
Edgar Allen Poe did some really good depressing poetry, but he's really the only person I can think of who pulled it off well. Heh, and come to think of it, he was insane.
Depressing prose can really sock it to you, though. If you read *anything* by Joseph Conrad, you'll get depressed: his heroes are almost always anti-heroes, and they almost always die.
------------------

And the moral of the story: take a minute to look up from that dark pit of depression you're in (assuming you're in one) and admire the beauty of a simple happy moment.

Y'know, thanks to "American Beauty", I can't look at a plastic bag in the wind anymore without smiling a little. Go figure.
Regardless, that's a nice picture, Kaoru. And that's the happiest I've seen Feeb in months... which makes me happy. Thanks.

What's wrong with drawing depressing things? Or, in my case, writing depressing poetry?
