Iain looks a bit chunky. Too much time sleeping on hard, flat surfaces will do that to you, i guess.
------------------

Well that's the first time I've seen Alison speechless - now, is she going to heed his advice...?
And looks like I chose different colours to what Josh was thinking of again...
---

Its not the truth - its what Iain thinks is the truth. They're two different things. In this case, I'd have to say he's wrong - Alison (as Walky said in another thread, I believe) is not Mary from Roomies.
I'd personally guess that she hasn't had "a lot of fun in her life" for pretty much the same reasons I did in High School. Kind of reserved, a bit shy, and never really fitting into social situations. (Or the activities that take place in social situations - spontaneously doing some dance to the music playing in a public place, for example) The only person she's judged and been on a "moral high horse" with is Iain - and it seems to me that he doesn't really like some of the things she said about his approach to Phoebe.
From what we've seen in previous comics, I'd say Alison is genuinely concerned about Joe, Ceilidh, and even Phoebe, and is trying to help them as best she can. Yes, she's been somewhat judgemental - her reactions to the Joe and Helene and Joe and Phoebe situations especially. But she's also done what people here are praising Iain for doing - calling it like she sees it, telling people what she thinks, and not being afraid to tell them she thinks they're making a mistake and how she thinks they can make amends.
Oh, and I'd say that face in the last panel is more a "must control fist of death" look than a "shocked speachless" look.
------------------
