Hey =)
I'm new to the comic. I just started reading a few days ago, and recently finished catching up. This is definitely the best online comic I've ever read, and one of the best comics in general. It's moving into the place in my heart once held by Rumiko Takahashi's Maison Ikkoku manga. You have really pleased this fan, Mr. Phillips, and brightened up his life a bit during the depths of exams.
I do have a request of anyone that can answer. When I was reading through the comic, one strip that struck me as really funny included something about urban sprawl popping up in Ceilidh's head during the middle of a completely unrelated soliloquy. Yet try as I might, I can't find it again for the life of me. Can anyone help?
Thanks,

Skie

I had a bit of free time after working on this take-home final for a bit, so I glanced around the forums and bit and came across davey3000's colorized Avalon strips. I thought that was a neat idea, so I tried colorizing one of my own. I chose the urban sprawl one mentioned earlier in this thread.
I hope I'm not violating any rules or anything by doing this. If I am, please let me know and I'll take it down or see what needs to be done to "officialize" it.
Without further ado, here it is. I've never done anything like this before, and am not very good at using the GIMP, but it looks to my untrained eye like it came out okay. I apologize to those who can't view PNG image files.

Hope you enjoy it,

Very nice
Slap some 'institutional green' in the background and davey3000 might have some stiff competition
------------------

Thanks for the compliment. I actually thought to try to make the grayscale shading in the background into a color shading, and I decided on red because of the internal conflict. It didn't turn out quite how I wanted it, and it also ended up being a lot harder than I thought it would be. Then again, I probably went about it in the most obtuse manner possible.
At any rate, the new one is up in the same place, so the image above should now be the updated one. If not, try refreshing or clearing the cache.
Wishing he could actually draw,

Irasshai and welcome, Skie-kun! Come in and have some potato chips.
It's funny...out of all the manga by Takahashi-sensei, the only one I was not able to really get into was Maison Ikkoku...It's because the neighbors really, really got on my nerves for some reason.
Wapiko-chan
------------------

Maybe because they were so thoroughly obnoxious and had no redeeming qualities whatsoever?
(/me never really got into Maison Ikkoku either)
Oh... and by the way...

Out of all her manga I've read, MI is my favorite. It seemed to be a more down-to-earth romantic comedy than most of her other similar works. Granted, it was still damned weird, but I think that somehow made it easier for me to identify with Godai. At least, once the series progressed a bit and he wasn't such a pervert...
And thanks, polarbee, for posting the address to that comic =)
Skie
