I believe it is somewhat related to red.<P>The Duh Paco<P>------------------

Thank you, Captain Obvious. What I meant was, is it closer to sandy red, fire engine red, the spilt blood of the damned red...

"Pull out Red 4, you can't do any more good back there!"<P>I love Wedge.... only minor character in history to make it through three movies in a significant combat role without getting slagged. I mean, he saves Luke's life in A New Hope, then takes down an AT-AT in Empire Strikes Back, then helps take out the Death Star in RoTJ. And all without dying! That's a significant achievement for *any* minor character. Normally they're supposed to die so the main character can avenge them <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspot.com/KeenBoard/wink.gif"> <P>But anyways, Red 4, according to Aeire(who uses it) is a very, very bright shade of red. Blindingly bright, in fact, to hear her tell it. That's all I know about that.<P>------------------

Actually, he was the ONLY one in all of the combat scenes... Luke and Wedge were the only two survivors in A New Hope, and Luke wasn't in the fight in Return of the Jedi...

IIRC, Wedge Antillies was such a successful fighter pilot that he was named Wing Commander of Rogue Squadron, the elite X-Wing Fighter group of the Rebellion and New Republic.<P>I know far too much about the Star Wars universe, and I'm not even a really big fan. <P>-K
(P.S. Didn't Biggs die?) <P>------------------

Only problem is, Wedge was Red <I>Two</I> -- Red Four was Biggs, who ate the paint on the side of the first Death Star.

Yeah, Biggs died, although his spirit lives on in Squaresoft games, though it was translated as Vicks in a couple of them.

FF3 (FF6 in Japan), FF7, and FF8 come immediately to mind. I'm fairly sure they were in at least a couple of others, but I can't remember which or under what circumstances.<P>Oh, and they generally don't last very long.<P>------------------

Red #4 is bright red. Crayon red. We're not talking about the traditional sense of redheads as far as copper or orange-ish being CONSIDERED red, we're talking RED. A colour not found on anyone, normally. *g*
...cherry kool-aid about describes it, actually. But I think she looks NEAT in that colour, personally..<P>------------------

I wonder if Wedge Antilles is of any relation to "Captain Antilles" who captained (I would assume) the Corellian Corvette that was fleeing the Star Destroyer in "A New Hope"...<P>You know, the guy who owned R2 and 3PO before the Jawas sold them to Luke?

No, Antilles is the "Jones" of the Star Wars galaxy. I especially liked the subtle barb in the Star Wars Adventure Journal, by WEG, where one of the stories focused on "Corellia" Antilles. Can we guess what *that's* a reference to?
