Manga Hockey Ceilidh

Postby MarkusN on Sun Nov 16, 2003 3:16 am

Hm. Knowing how highly Our Dear Cartoonist rates in-character depiction of his creations in fan-art I wonder what we can read into semi-nekkid Ceilidh in a hockey jersey.

But then, maybe he's just selling out. So go bid high and bid often.

Heh! Subject: "Sports." Yeah, right.

The bidding has already gone above my limit. But I would've chosen either Alan's Leafs jersey for Ceilidh (just to piss Joe off), or the Detroit Red Wings jersey which Alan Ruck wore in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Dammit, I wish I had money. ;.;

Edit: Willis, you're twisted.

And I bet he drew this after my comment about a picture of someone modelling the Avalon jersey. Blergh.

Manga Hockey Ceilidh is nice, but I'd rather have Tonsil Hockey Ceilidh. ;)

'Tis a sweet image, and a nice development of the 'manga' style. :)

And now I'm trying to imagine how you'd draw that.

You wouldn't want a columbus blue jackets jersey? but think how much a pain it would be to draw one! well not that hard I guess, perhaps one of the old school phoenix jerseys? Than again Josh is talented enough to draw any of the NHL logos, so the most torturous thing would probably be a leaf sweater

It's not like it hasn't been done before.

Whoa! Just noticed BigMal27 (Brian Malerich, author of this gem, oh and that fanfic) browsing the forums. Last post was last anniversary. Now that's a long time lurker.

Just realized 'nother thing: Manga Ceilidh would not count in octal.

Oh, and Josh, don't you do your work some injustice by listing it just under "prints" on eBay? That should sail at least under "original drawing" as well.

I didn't want to pay extra to list it under two categories, so I just stuck with original limited prints. I doubt it's going to get much traffic from random eBay searches anyway...

If I had enough money I might request a random British jersey just to confuse him. I wonder if he knows what the Manchester Storm jersey was before they went bust and became Manchester Pheonix? I wonder if he knows what the Manchester Pheonix jersey is?

Aww, but the old black on gold Canucks jersey was so cool!

How about the new Oilers alternate design?

As a favor, she'll teach you about curling. What?

Postby bunnyThor on Thu Nov 20, 2003 10:59 pm

At the current time, the bid for this piece has reached $114.82 Canadian. That's enough to get you a case of Molson and have a young lady from Lethbridge show you a favor. It's a beauty way to go.

Although, it might encorage Josh to go into hiding and work on more comics :D
