I like this much better though. Rumy and Joyce working together is favorable to them fighting for me. We still get a sliver of a panty shot after all.

I'm pretty sure Rumy fell (jumped) into the chasm and the gun didn't. Hence the whole "I expect you to decide with honour" thing.
If the gun was gone it wouldn't be much of a decision, would it.

Yes it would. Rumy is depending on Joyce to hold on to the end of the chain she'll be using to get out of the dimensional whatsit. Joyce could trap Rumy just by letting go of the chain; no gun needed.

By the way - the chain seems to be magical, altering its size when needed. Or else, Rumy dangles 10 feet below the cliff.

Well, it is a "dimensional whatsit" so perhaps its warping space and the ten feet is all thats needed?

I was half right... I predicted Joyce would hold one end of the chain, even though I predicted it would be Rikk on the other end.

As for the 10 foot chain point: Either (A) the rift is less then 10 feet below the edge, (B) Allisin's chain can size shift, or (C) Rumi expects Joyce to use her jet pack to lower them to a point where Joyce is less then 10 feet above the dimensional bung hole.

Actually, I suspect B: We've seen Alisin wear that puppy is a belt, then as a weapon... and it seems longer as a weapon.
