Yeah. This was uncomfortable to draw. And took several efforts. Sal is definitely not a formal-wear sorta gal. Tomboy to the extreme. I couldn't even draw her looking very comfortably.
Ah well. Some things just weren't meant to be, Animal.
Besides, with her hair back it's hard to make her look Not Like Walky. Ew.
She still looks bloody marvellous, DW. And I have to say, some tomboys I knew as younger girls cleaned up very,
very well in their high school prom dresses.
RrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrOooooowrrrllll.
David, that pic (and how Sal looks) is absolutely stunning. And there is no way in HELL she looks like Walky. Maybe french braids instead of a regular braid would help with the hair. She'll get used to how she looks and be her old confident self *real* quickly.
As for tomboys cleaning up really well-- some of you from the
Avalon forum know that my niece got married last month. What I didn't tell you is she's a dyed-in-the-wool cowboy. Not a cowgirl, you'll get belted if you call her that. Drives an old Chevy pickup, never even seen her without a cowboy hat and jeans. My dad asked where her bandages were when she got married. That kinda kid.
She was poured into a long white strapless chiffon dress with her hair in a french twist, with makeup and high heels. Every time I looked at her I didn't even recognize her. Even now, I look at the photos, and am shocked. She wasn't confident with how she looked either, but she got used to it after a while.
