www.ivbalis.org has been updated!

The noble Order of the Knights of Jubal traces its origins back to the Year Two Thousand A.D., when a group of distinguished persons of good and true character, founded the order to promote chivalry and honour. The order takes its name from our leader, Alexander Jubal McRae, who on two (so far) occasions has been seriously injured, in one case fatally, defending an innocent woman from attackers.

Hi there!
Version 2 of the Order of Jubal website is now up, and can be viewed at www.ivbalis.org .
The most notable change is the reformatting of the Roster, and the inclusion of the Knights coat of arms. (Sir Howard and, ummm, Sir Howard, if you would like to design one...)
I have also added a Resources page, which contains links to the message board and Yahoo club, as well as the Introduction to Heraldry, as compiled by our resident sage, Sir Timber. There is also a calendar of events.
Both versions of the Oath appear on the web site, as well as references to the motto.
It's been a long time coming, but I think I've captured everything I said I was going to do to it...
As always, all comments, suggestions, content, spelling checks, etc. are gratefully received.
PIQE,
Sir Gregory
------------------

A big THANK YOU needs to go out to Sir Greg for all his fine hard work. Jubal is etremely impressed as am I. Please, while handing out those suggestions, etc. give Greg a well deserved pat on the back.
Thank you again!
Sir Jamie
------------------

Hi Greg
fantastic upgrade, but i've found layout error -- on <http://ivbalis.org/heraldry/shield.html> the labels of the shield sides overlap the picture which shows what each side is called.
Sir Timber Bran, I loved the stuff on heraldry, fascinating reading
well done, all. If you ever need any help, please don't hesitate to call me.
Rei Asteria

Thanks for spotting that one, Rei! It proves that you can't spot 'em all.
Sir Timber, I've fixed it by nesting the image and the descriptions in a TABLE. You'll need to make sure that any future updates incorporates this fix.
Regards,

{{I've tried posting this twice today, and it seems to not be appearing -- apologises if it reappears later and i've filled the board *eg*}}
Greg, I was thinking about the website, and I think perhaps a 'Links to Resources/Reading' would be of interest to the Order and its site visitors. For example, after reading the excellent 'Dummies Guide to Heraldry' Timber Bran (I think) put on the site *chuckle* I went out and did a search and found some excellent sites on the subject (including a searchable database which has the _meanings_ behind many of the common blazons, which was really interesting reading).
Would people be interested in putting forward links related to the ideals of the Order? perhaps links to sites on modern Chivalry, heraldry, history, sites of notable examples of chivalry, ect? I'd be happy to collate (perhaps under a collection of headings?) and html-ize such a list.
feel free to email me offlist (akire@mailcity.com) if you want to discuss the idea further
PIQE+bb

I noticed a couple of things today on the resource page. Keenspot is called Keenspace in one place and Keensport in another. Might ought to fix that.
The majority of discussions happen on the two message boards. One is located at Keenspace, the other at Yahoo!.
Click here for the Keensport Message Board

um... greg. I noticed a problem with my name. Although i wouldn't mind people calling me Steeleye, my last name is spelled Seelye.
Could you please change it? I'm planning to bring in a coat of arms sometime soon, if i can get anything to work for me at home and i hope to send it in soon.
Thanks again and other than that, great revisions. Looks spectacular!!

------------------

Okay, I've drafted a first list of links, mainly chivalry and heraldry sites (I think you've created a monster there, Timber Bran! *eg*)
I'd now like to put the call out to the Order as a whole -- do you have any appropriate links you'd like to put on the website, or can you think of a category of links you'd like to see?
thankyee muchly

RL name vs Net name....well, most of my RL buddies are Net geeks as well, so I respond to either *eg*
Rei

Well, while we are all picking at the roster... Can my realspace name be replaced with my SCA/Keenspot/pen name? Those that know me by Lothar Sauvage have little to no idea who Dan Harper is...
What is it, number 7 on the top ten list that you spend too much time in chat when you feel the need to legally change your name?
Regards,
Lothar Sauvage, CI

Hi there!
Sir Howard Seeleye: My apologies for the mistype - it has now been corrected.
Lothar: You name, too, has been corrected.
Sir Jamie: Keenspot is now universal on the page.
Rei: I await the list with baited breath.
Regards,
