To any Steven Brust fans here, have you noticed the similarities between Bruno and Vlad Taltos:
-flying sidekick who refers to him as "Boss"
-life of crime
-mustache
OK, so its not much, and there are also major differences, but it makes me wonder if Ian McDonald is a Brust fan. (If you've never heard of Steven Brust, I highly recommend The Phoenix Gaurds to any Bruno the Bandit fans.)

Dang, I never noticed, but you're right--it IS quite a co-incidence. And I agree, I think most Bruno fans would enjoy Steven Brust, and I personally liked The Phoenix Guards best, although for a more Bruno-esque story, some might be better served with Jhereg.
------------------

I like Brust's novels too, especially because it's quite fun to understand the Hungarian words he uses (like taltos, for example) and knowing that there are great many fans of him out there who don't have the faintest idea of what they mean
