Neither had I, until I drew it.

Most of the "fashions" in the strip come out of my head. Once in awhile I see something and make a mental note of it and try to draw it, with varying degrees of success. This swimsuit might have been one of those, but I don't think it was.

Miriam, you seem to want to have the perfect man to love, who will put up with all of your faults. I'd say John, since RC says he's not gay, but, well, he doesn't seem interested in you (John, not RC, who's only interested in drawing you).

By the way, RC, did you base Miriam on someone you knew, both in personality and looks?

Not intentionally. She may have picked up a trait here and there from people I know but if she did it was purely subconscious. Oddly, the only person I know who ever asked me if they were the model for Miriam was a guy.

She doesn't look a bit like him.

Although I'm not sure I've done a whole strip of nothing but silhouettes before. I can't remember why I decided to do it this time. Possibly laziness (they take less time). But usually the reason I do one panel in silhouette is to break things up visually.
