Well, at this point, I'm still trying to figure out what name to give to Locus fans. Of course, part of me wants to see some big online cage-fight between the Locusts and the Locultists, but I grew up with wrestling and boxing as my sports of choice, so my views might be skewed a bit.

I like Locultists best. Here's why:
1. Against Locusts: I don't like bugs.
2. Against Locists: It just sounds dumb.
3. For Locultists: Not only does it sound cool, but it has the word "cult" built right in, and Locus seems like the kind of comic that should have a cult (in it or devoted to it, I'll let you all decide).

I think Locusts sounds the best. Locultists seems like it could too easily be turned into LOL-cultists. Also, it doesn't flow as nice. I saw the link under the comic and thought immediately "you should call us Locusts!".

What about Locii? Plural of Locus (if my very limited knowledge of latin-esque does not fail me miserably)...
And for that "mythological" feel (if you wanna) it's not that far away (pronunciation-wise) from Loki... gotta love mischief & mayhem...

That is conceptionally right, but it’s not usually spelled that way; it’s spelled Locī. However, we are not each Locus, and therefore we are not collectively Locī. If we say however that we are of Locus, that would mean we are Locī (singular genitive); if we say we are to Locus, we are Locō (singular dative); if we say we are one of most other prepositions Locus, we are also Locō (singular ablative). Unless I am, of course, mistaken.

Just saw the poll and thought I'd put my 2cents in. Great comic BTW, Anyway as some have said before I don't particularly care for bugs. And Cults/cultist are mind numbed robots. Sooo... how about:

Would a name based around Locus' hairstyle be doable? As I mentioned in another post her hairstyle always brings to mind a king cobra that's on the defensive,if you look at chapter 3,page 15 final panel you'll see why I think of cobras when I see her hair.
