It was not Australian cuisine, it was fine Italian dining. It is rather petty to demonstrate such obvious jealousy of the suppertime treat for which I saved three months of pay. Maybe if you learned to control your spending habits you could be an occasional gourmand yourself.
But I must admit, after such extravagance it is quite hard having to go back to nightly bowls of damp grit washed down with pureed lemon seeds.
