mouse, dear, the spam is eliminated. I've just been waiting for enough to build up to make it interesting, that's all. And really -- the Grim Thread Reaper only allowed 273 spams to get past, while blocking over two thousand. Ah well, GTR never was very discriminating. The modbot is where it's at now. It doesn't let any spam through. And I'm archiving it for posterity and analysis, too -- eventually I'm sure to find the time for that.

archiving spam? actually, that has possibilities.....isn't there some program that makes predictions based on information it gathers over the net? as i recall, they use things like stock market reports, and other such random things - i'm sure a program using spam (incorporating, of course, the names spammers use) would produce much more useful results.

The idea is that archiving spam would make it better to predict other spam. I don't think predictions based on spam would be particularly trustworthy in any other arena -- although spammed stocks are pretty much guaranteed to tank (there's been a nice analysis of that; forget where, though.)

well, that's a prediction of which stocks to avoid, at least....i'm sure that makes stock-buying _much_ simpler.
