Had any EGS-dreams?

Just a thought that occurred to me. Last night I've met some of the main EGS cast in a dream. At least I'm certain I saw and talked to Sarah, and maybe even Susan. But I'm certain that I've met Justin, and judging by the way he acted, I'd guess we were in a relationship. Pretty messed up, no?

I've had a dream where I had the ability to look into the future and my first thought was using it to see El Goonish Shive comics well in advance. Although I pondered whether I should from how I could end up a bit depressed if I found out that it ended early due to either disinterest of Dan or some sort of disaster ensuring that Dan was either too injured or too dead to continue the comic. When I did check I remember seeing the last all caps story arc title. It was called "Paths Divide" and it was after a long line of story arcs. I remember the cover page for it involved falling leaves. Now I have a feeling that this hypothetical final story arc would deal with the main eight ending up divided, perhaps to go to college. Only time and/or Dan humoring me will prove if that was a vision or a dream.

Returning to the original topic, I am quite sure the EGS crew have invaded my dreams, but I would be able to be more specific if I ever actually remembered my dreams.

I don't remember how many times this subject has popped up on the forums, but I'll answer it anyway

I've had a dream with EGS characters in it before. If I remember correctly, it occurred right after I read the entire archives for the first time. In this dream, I was just walking around some random town (must have been Moperville,) when I saw the cast across a large room (Tedd, Elliot, Ellen and Grace were definitely there, I don't remember if any of the others were. I think the setting was a supermarket, because there were a bunch of aisles.)

When I tried to walk over and talk to them, they would have moved to somewhere else. (Ever try to catch up to somebody in a crowded supermarket?) I think I even came up with some crackpot plan to provoke a fight in such a way to make myself seem like the victim, with the idea that Elliot would rush over and break it up, giving me a chance to actually meet the cast (I'm nearly helpless in a fight, unless I'm armed, so I was trying to play on Elliot's 'white knight' drive to protect the defenseless.) Unfortunately (or fortunately,) I woke up before I had the chance to try any harebrained schemes.

Would be nice. But I still don't think I've ever had a dream regarding a cartoon or comic. Although, I suppose that's not to say I've never had dreams about people who's personalities were similar to a cartoon or comic character, I guess. So I suppose it's possible that I have and just never realized it. But never of the main crew in anything close to their comic form.

No EGS dreams yet, although lately I keep dreaming that I'm back in Longhorn Band again at the University of Texas. What they're doing rehearsing in the parking lot of the Austin IRS center is beyond me, though...

I had a weird dream last night. I saw an EGS comic that was so out of character it was probably an elaborate strip slay or fan comic due to how out of character they were. It was also raunchier than usual comics.

It had Grace acting more like Sarah. Also it had direct reference to a certain word for a rooster and Tedd claiming that he meant it in that sense to an offended Grace. It also ended with a somewhat strange thing of Susan considering using destructive magic and sudden appearance of Black Mage from Eight-bit theater.

Anyway during the EGS portion of my dream I had to leave a rather rundown looking dorm (different from my RL one ) when I saw someone watching an El Goonish Shive animated series. It had art in a style I would say more similar to Kim Possible (I haven't watched it myself but seen really good fan art from favorites browsing.) my thoughts were "Wow there's an EGS animated series? It's that popular! What a shame I have to go to class!" Although judging from the glances I caught things were a more actiony arc in that I saw Ellen and Nanase whose hair apparently got either styled by Justin or slipped out of the pony tail and got a bit tangled in running.

My dream was a little off-kilter, even for me. I think I posted about this one before in another EGS dream thread when I first started coming here, but I have since then had another one so I will mention it as well.

In the first dream, an old friend of mine (not really friends anymore since we took different paths in life) and I were trying to save the town or something from an evil guy and we both had to use the TF gun to change our genders. And at that time, I had long hair, so I instantly saw myself as a sort of m-Susan type of look, maybe a little shorter hair-wise and brown hair and blue eyes instead of dark blue/blonde and green eyes. And I don't think m-Susan was even around at that point in time, so I'm quite proud of myself in that regard. ^_^

Second one was about me hanging out with an Ellen/Nanase hybrid. It honestly was like they had a daugter around my age. Her hair was pulled back in a low ponytail and fell to her mid-back.

And that's the extent, which I'm really sad about, because I used to have so many good ideas that came out my nose when it came to this thing, and now I barely get inspiration anymore and when I do, it gets posted by someone else. XD

I had a dream once where my friends and I were all gender-swapped for an evening. That was after I'd read through about 80% of the archives in a day for the fifth time in a row, so I definitely had EGS on the brain.

It was definitely up there on my list of favorite dreams ever.

I often dream in "cartoon" style. (Of course, I never notice in the dream, it's only when I look back on it.)

I know Justin seemed quite real to me. The only thing that was unusual in him was his orange hair.

The closest I've had is a dream involving a TF gun last night. I don't think it was EGS', though. It was just a standard gender switch by me, for someone else, can't remember who. Kinda boring, actually.

This seems unsurprising to me, but I suspect that it should be classified as really, really freaky.

I had a dream that functioned almost like a memory dump.... essentially, I dreamed what my life would hypothetically have been like had I been born female.

It's probably an off-shoot of my EGS addiction, hence why I'm not that concerned about it.

Sounds cool. I still love that dream, it rocked. I trained in AS Martial Arts, particularly in Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. I basically combined the styles of Shikamaru and Rock Lee from Naruto. I still was only a redbelt, because I am young
