Rules of the Forum

1. If people want to criticize the strip, be it bash or praise it, let 'em. Just try to keep things civil.

2. If personal attacks start getting thrown around, either to other forum posters, you or to me, don't be afraid to delete the post / thread. The folks around there seem to trust your judgment.

3. On a personal note, if you happen to see anyone posting links to "hilarious DD reviews" that just end up being "DD IS THE WORST COMIC EVER MADE!" just do me a favor and delete those posts. There's enough hate on the internet and I'd still like this to be a place where fans of the strip can come together. Mostly.

It shall be done. Just, basically, don't post reviews like Solomon in the light of "lulz the strip sucks, here's why" sort of thing. I can understand where the artist is coming from here, on a personal level.

This was the original and only rule of the forums prior. Best summarized with "Be excellent to each other"

What about linking to Durgan? I like this comic, but I find his slays very amusing as well, though I was taking a leave of absence during his troll spree.

To what extent however is to be decided. Obviously there are sculptures and such of ancient greek art and the like, and there are medical diagrams, and maybe even just nudity is fine.

But I think we can all agree there is a line some where in here that shouldn't be crossed, especially with out warning.

Edit to Babus: I don't think there's anything wrong with linking to a Durgan strip slay so long as Mookie doesn't say otherwise. I will ask him later if the question troubles you too much.

I think Durgan would be fine; it's a parody strip, not a "I HATE DOMINIC DEEGAN" strip...though that IS likely the inspiration.

I second Silv on her addition of rulings! Don't post NSFW crap. (If it isn't porn, feel free to url link it and make it clickable, but posting the picture of it might be a bad idea, since people DO access here from work.)

Discuss that one before it's implimented, though.

It's not nearly as offensive as his articles. I can understand why Mookie doesn't want them linked, but they are fun to read. As long as you don't freak out over them.

Also, I'm going to have to find interesting pictures to make up for posting guro a while back. Any suggestions?

Not liking Dominic Durgan because it mocks Dominic Deegan is like not liking Space Balls because it mocks Star Wars. Comparing it to Solomn is like comparing Space Balls to an angry biased Trekkie who hates Starwars with a passion and comes up with as many ways to cut down the creators and fans as possible. Though some of the articles Durgan wrote are a bit too far (and on par with Solomon).

Also with that said I need to commission a picture of Solomon dressed as a Klingon at a Star Trek convention chasing those 'damn Darth Deegans' while sucking back on his inhaler. Takers?
