Shading

Hey Clint, I was just curious; have you changed shading techniques lately? I've noticed some really good jobs as we transition into night in this John Death sequence, I've been trying to figure out if you've been doing it by hand or if you've been "cheating" and using a computer to do some of the fading that I've seen? Either way it looks really good keep up the good work. ^_^

Thanks! It's pretty much Photoshop for the shading. Doing 2 full pages a week, I need to enhance speed as much as possible.

I understand completely. There are points that I wonder how some of the artists like Piro from Megatokyo, and Gabe from Penny-Arcade do their thing. I try to doodle and it feels like it takes me hours to get it right. Then I have to worry about inking.

Well, for one thing, doing the comic is their job, as opposed to having to steal whatever spare time one can to squeeze some drawing in around a regular day job . :-?
