Hmm, Penny's "'Bout Time!" comment makes me question how far she's gone. Unless Michelle meant "getting lucky" in a non-sexual way. But considering this arc's title, I really doubt it

She meant metaphorically--have you ever heard of "dangling a carrot to see who bites"? I mean, get with it...! She wanted it, so she "fished" for which guy would take the bait.

If she is to be believed, apparently she's gotten too many bites!

The Penny and Aggie comic must confuse me atleast once with every new strip. *nods* Get with it? There's nothing for me grasp on.

I didn't realize she had a crush on that boy before. Oh, I mean, it was in that character explaination, but I never saw it in the cannon. I understand why she would be just say "hey im gonna do it. congradulate me." but I don't understand why the boy is making a big deal out of it. And in such an annoying way too. I want him to shut up.

I'm impressed Penny is being supportive. I doubt Sara would have accepted Michelle's break from the Power-Vamp Game they all play like this.

And as for what Michelle ment by "getting lucky," this is the problem with always talking and hearing about anything to do with sex in the form of flashy but non-specific innuendo. You can't ever be sure unless you know the how the individual thinks, and I don't think Penny and Michelle are quite that close. For a guy, "getting lucky" usually means having sex, but Michelle isn't a guy and seems to come from a pretty uptown background and may have a more demure interpretation of "getting lucky."

I,for one, hope Michelle takes time to find out about Stan the "man" past his magnetic personality before she drops her drawbridge for him. He may not be the type of person she had in mind for her first.

Of course not, they could all be anomalies and all of them are virgins, or none of them are, or all of them are straight, all of them are gay or all of them are into polyarmourous relationships.

But in the absence of any other evidence, general population trends are a good bet.

Maybe that's just what Michelle thinks. It seems like Michelle cares a lot about what Penny thinks. Like in that strip where she was thinking about going after Marshall but she didn't say anything, even though Penny "doesn't want this one". Hmm, it's actually kind of similar to how Stan is with Rich right now

Judging by her blushing, her thoughts dwelling on this particular subject since 2 arcs already, and the fact Stan's definitly not the modest type with women either ... I doupt they're do something even remotely platonic.

Also, I'm sure Michelle is glad about having impressed Penny. Wonder what Sara's reaction will be. She seems by far least interested in sex right now.

this whole story arc is just sad to me. i didn't start messing around until i was 19, and looking back, i still think i was too young. these kids are supposed to be what... sophomores? 15 or 16? ...sad, sad, sad.

Even if it is a bad experience for some, as the arc said..this is an integral part of the teenage existence. It will be a heavy influence on the actions of all those in the strip, so while the strip obviously doesn't need to dwell on it, an arc every now and then to explain why some people act the way they do (sex and sexuality is a big motivator in peoples lives). I think its being very tactfully done, acknowledging whats happening, without being overly detailed or graphic.

I assure you, it's still the same. I have a younger friend who just fessed up to sleeping with her boyfriend and everyone who knows is disgusted and dissapointed with her. (then again, she is 14 so this is a little different.)

but based on that, I'm going to go back to thinking that they didn't mean sex. because these girls are a bit conservative I don't think they'd talk about sex openly like this unless Michelle had been in a long term relationship with Stan and the two were all lovey dovey. especialy after the whole Karen and Marshal thing with being 'too young.'

?!? You are joking, right? In case you aren't:

Penny is talking about having sex with people who ARE NOT HIM. No matter what he thinks about sex in general, he's gotta be bummed by that one. He didn't take it particularly well when Penny dumped him - not that he could reasonably have been expected to.
