I would never lump anybody in with the Dixie Chicks--for their sake I certainly hope that the 'air-headed southern blond' thing is an act but in the mean time they are giving all the rest of us southern blonds a bad name.

Some of us actually do think before we speak (particularly in public) and can approach most issues from a direction other than personally attacking those with whom we disagree.

I just really hate it when someone starts a statement with something like..."noone with any sense would think...--insert politically sensitive topic here--" then proceeds to act all martyred and self-righteous when someone who does in fact think that speaks up.

Don't get me wrong, the web site was really funny and I'm glad you shared it but the bottom line, I suppose, is that this is really not the place for serious political debate. Maybe we should start a topic for that. If the name calling and silliness are left out of it we might really be able to learn something (about each other and ourselves.)
