TC: Hello, pretty lady!
BW: My, it's so cold out! Why don't you... come in...

boom chicka wow chika chicka...

I seriously doubt it. Try juggling two part-time jobs and high school at the same time and then see if you still think it's him.

How can you not like pizza? To me, 'pizza' is like the word 'sandwich'. You can have hundreds of varieties. I hate pepperoni pizza, or any pizza that's really oily, but I love black olives. And the taco pizza with golden crust from Godfathers is awesome! :D

*shrug* I had a friend who didn't like chocolate. Some people can't eat dairy, some people just choose not to touch the subject or have some other objection. Its as the saying goes: there's just no accounting for tastes.

TC is actually younger than the main cast by one year, so it's not likely to be him.

It's the basic stuff I don't like. Like MOOMANiBE, I'm not a big fan of melted cheese. I can't stand it on my nachos, either. And there's something about the mixture of the sauce and the crust that gets to me; I'm not sure why. I love spaghetti sauce and it's not really all that different.

It's funny you should mention Godfather's, too. That's where I used to work, and the taco pizzas were always a pain to make because they required their own special sauce and you had to add stuff to them even after they came out of the oven.

I love the "my Teddy" line though.

Oooooooooooooooor it's simply one of those overused stereotypes found in stories about perfectly healthy women who are afraid that even one drop of calory/fat/whatever will go straight to their hips. >>

I can't have Sarah concerned about her weight without it turning into a matter of anorexia and stereotypes? With a cast of five main female characters, I think this is the first time any of them have shown concern over calories, and it DOES fit with Sarah's character. She doesn't always concern herself with calories, but when she stops to think about it, there are times when she'll show concern. I'm much the same way.

Okay. Thanks for the explanation. Sorry, I'm defensive about stuff like that.

WTF?

Are you saying that you've *never* met a "normal-sized" female person is insecure about their appearance and frets about gaining weight? News Flash! Not all "normal-sized" people maintain their healthy Body Mass Index by relying on metabolism to cure all ills. Some of us must be vigilant in the exercize of indulging our appetites for our bodies are very efficient about converting food to stored food.

This does not mean that after the party storyline we'll have a full-color special Sunday-sized strip showing Sarah purging in Tedd's bathroom. But it is perfectly normal and realistic for Sarah to have a concern about the quality of the food she's going to be ingesting and the inevitable repercussions that follow.

Of course why *anyone* would be concerned with *anything* normal and humdrum when they've got access to all the best toys of both science fiction and magic is beyond me. Seriously, why Tedd is still going to high school for any reason boggles my mind.

So does that mean that the speculation is close to what is going to happen or is that just a general comment on his age?

Bulemia (binging and purging) was never mentioned; anorexia was, but that just means not eating. Not that you necessarily thought they were the same, but to point it out in case anyone does.

Tis probably why they cost a few dollars more. It's worth it though.

There's this pizza store here called Valentinos which can make dairy-less and egg-less pizzas on request. I think, they`re just vegetarian pizzas with more spices. They`re comparable, you get more of the natural taste than you would with a regular pizza. And although I`m not completely sure, I`d guess you could get a cheese-less pizza with a meat product on it too!

Ah, it doesn`t matter too much anyway, some people don`t like certain foods, this I can well understand. ;)

I modified the title of the comic to include (and the Calories Count!). I wanted to ensure that it become less of a question mark for casual readers, but I personally like the wording in the last panel and did not want to change it.

And the speculation is unimportant as far as releasing TC info is concerned. His being younger is a "fun fact" I've wanted to unleash for some time now, and this thread was an excuse to do so.

Question:

Dan, did you just change the title to say "And the calories count!" or was that there the whole time and we weren't paying attention? I seem to not remember it being there, but I seem to remember a lot of things that aren't true, especially at 2am-when-I-have-class-tomorrow-crap-goodnight!

Right on Dan and Little Fox! I lost 60 pounds through keeping an eye on what I ate and exercising...even now, running between 2 and 4 miles about 5 times a week I have to keep an eye on what I eat. In a situation like this party, I'd probably be the one thinking the same thing and making certain to remind myself to only eat a couple of slices in addition to the cake. Healthy eating requires that you be aware of what's going into your body. *sips his coffee/hot chocolate mix*

Let's see though...pizza = food of the gods. Don't worry, better luck liking it next life.

Regarding TC, is he not gainfully employed at the movie theater anyway?

Two female Tedds would cause his head to explode, though....

I wanna say Starfire, but I can't remember for sure.

I knew that I had seen that innocent and naive attitude before, but I just could not place it.
I can not recall a Starfire quote on this but it does seem like something she would be amazed by.

Well, Sarah shouldn't concern herself over calories. At least from experience I know she won't when she's a guy. I mean, I've had pizza, fast food, some donuts, and still had room for dinner some days. And (you're gonna hate me for saying this) I'm underweight.

And I'm going to beat a dead horse and say that having a delivery boy/girl come to the house can only end in awkwardness.

I was thinking of Joyce, this strip popped into mind. Though it's a slightly different view. As for the pizza delivery guy, it must be the head of the student council.

Wow, Christmas came early. Consider:

1) Read the first three panels. Laughing too hard, had to stop.
2) Read panels 4--5. Ditto.
3) Read panel 6. Not quite as great, but still a slow day's worth just on its own.
4) Oh, there's a filler as well!

Good thing I'm enough of an EGS junkie to survive a quadruple dose.

I like pizza. Instead, I have this aversion to fishbones, putting me off many meals with fish, even though I like their taste. Smoked flounder, for example, I think is mouth-wateringly delicious, and I'd have some every now and then... if flounders didn't have so many small bones. I can eat most everything else -I like escargot, for example.

Well, my point is that everyone's tastes are different, and there's seldom any logic behind it. Logical taste is an oxymoron.

And concerning Sarah's calory counting, I believe most anyone would make some kind of 'whoah, my arteries are screaming' -comment if they were told they were being served pizza and birthday-cake.
