Who bought the print comics???

Postby AbacusComics on Sun Dec 03, 2006 10:08 am

Hey there, for those who don't know (which I'm guessing is just about everyone but Gisele and T...), I'm the guy that published Penny and Aggie as a print comic. I love the property and thought it deserved to be published!

But it didn't get the support PnA get here online. Just wondering how many of you supported the print books?

Oh, I also drew the one alternate PnA cover. Gisele, did you ever publish that online?

um, was this before the printing stint by Alias Entertainment? I bought those first three that were published before the stint got cancelled...

I can't seem to find the digital file for that cover. Would you have that on file, Mike? I could scan the cover but it wouldn't do it justice. Email me the file if you have it and I'll post it. If you don't have it, I'll scan it :)

I'm pretty sure I would've posted it at the time but it's been a while, so I'm sure lots of readers haven't seen it.

And yes, Daanton, Mike is referring to the Alias run. The series got cancelled at the time due to slow sales. We didn't have that many readers back then. Not sure how it would do today but the comic book market still remains a hard market to break into.

I bought the 3 Alias books. After noticing Gisele's name on the cover (old fan of Cool Cat Studio, I was), it made me remember to look up the on-line strip, and...well, here I still am, I guess.

I always suspected that the Alias #4 never came out. Comic Market IS brutal right now, even if you have a logo on your cape. Glad you found an alternate publisher.

I bought the alternate cover, Mike. Your smug/superior Penny was too good to pass up (Mike nailed that dismissive Penny hand, Gisele)!

Right when I was thinking of getting the Alias comics, they became unavailable, so I never got a chance to see the alternate cover. But in fealty to Gisele and T, I got the Lulu volume almost as soon as possible.

I think it would be awful to have the alternate cover in a next volume (awful=awesome; sorry, sometimes I find it too amusing to use archaisms).
