Penny could probably tell that Michelle was into Rich, but went out with him anyways.

She did know. In one of the older strips where Penny and Sara see Michelle and Rich near his bike, Penny goes, "Is this a thing now?" It apparently appeared as if they were getting together.

Another defeatist here, and I went to a high school where some sophomore girls tried attending Winter Ball in tops made of Saran Wrap and a couple strategically-placed fake flowers...and just barely got in trouble.

Anyway, I'm interested in seeing how this whole Michelle/Stan thing pans out, especially once she's gotten over her bonkers-besotted phase. Call me boring, but I'dlike to see something go right for her for a change, and if/when it ends, leave with confidence and a minimum of regret. I'm just sick of seeing her get stepped on by anyone she tries to bond with, be that her friends, Rich or anyone else.

I'm wondering what you mean by this - seriously! No snark! Because I'm a little confused as to why some people are painting Sara as a killjoy. She's just pointing out that when Michelle was into Rich, she acted like a brainless, giggly bint, and that passed when Rich revealed that he didn't give a shit about her, and that it seems the pattern is repeating itself. Sara's not pulling this out of her ass - it's something that really happened, so I don't blame her for being somewhat skeptical and jaded about it.

Oh, I don't blame Sara at all for reacting the way she did. I was just wondering if she might do something about it or blah blah blah. :) While I myself tend to like Michelle, I agree that Sara's reaction is a warranted.

I think really she just has low self-esteem. I have friends as well who haven't had a boyfriend but for some reason think it'll be some life changing event or that they REALLY NEED a boyfriend.

Part of that is the whole "what am I doing wrong?" bit. If all of your friends have dated, and some aren't even that goodlooking/have the greatest personalities, then why not you? *shrug* It IS a confidence thing, but I don't think it's such an issue with Michelle. She's obviously good-looking and guys are interested in her.

"Pink and Sarahlacious"--get thee to an English dictionary, dudettes! :-?

But, yes, I will remark: before, Michelle was a curious girl who dressed conservatively. Now, she's a vibrant young woman now willing to show herself off... you'd think it only took "one first time" to embolden a female. 8)

If Michelle's mood is any indication, it sounds like it was!

Holy School Dress Code Batman

Postby alisonwonderland on Wed Nov 15, 2006 4:51 pm

Okay this is not meant to be offensive, but crap focusing that much on dress code on a web comic. They live in a fictitious world. And honestly I know schools where people could get away with wearing that and they aren

Well, thanks to the draft version of the new cast images, I now know why Michelle called Katy-Ann "Pink".

She has pink hair.

DUH.

Also, she has freckles on her nose, which is another similarity to the pop singer Pink.

So everything is making sense now.

You know, that's a funny thing.

When I was coloring that cast page no one sent me a list of all the colors needed, so I had to look around the forum and previously colored pages to check. In the "Ask T and Gisele" thread it was mentioned that Katy-Ann is a strawberry-blonde, which is SORT of a pink color, so I thought that's what Michelle meant.

Turned out I was wrong. :P She really DOES dye her hair pink, or has recently done so. Redoing the hair was no problem, but now I'm worried I made it look like she co-ordinates her outfit to match her head...

Hey, LOTS of people do THAT...

Katy-Ann, it should be clear, marches to a slightly different drummer than the other "popular girls."
