He just skyrocketed into my top three P&A favorite characters. That's just too awesome for words. :D

I've never been happier to be completely wrong about the direction a storyline was going to take.

...though they still might get around to that other thing.

I never, ever expected that I was going to end up respecting Stan for anything. :D

Adding to the Stan love here. That was just amazingly sweet. It's an indication of the talent of the writer that his character can go from being very unlikable to lovable, and possibly (I don't know), to unlikable yet again. :)

This is definitely points for Stan. Not enough to make me stop hating him, but points nevertheless.

Good comic that. It would be cool to see Michelle fail to take whatsherface's advice and fall for Stan. She obviously still has a thing for Rich, but that would be a relationship more disastrous than Penny finished with.

Well, yet another proof that there are no "bad guys" and "good guys" in the strip, and that they are just different people, with different personalities, different virtues and shortcomings.

In other words: awesome!

Man, I've always liked Stan. I mean, sure he ran a campaign of lies and deception, but c'mon. It's stupid high school election. It's not like it actually mattered. Anyway, he's fun.

Wonder where he got those nifty sheets that only go up to his belly-button, yet cover Michelle's entire upper torso save the shoulders?

Must be the same place all those sitcoms on TV get theirs. :)

Brandi was right about the sweet, sweet things Stan says. And I thought he was just sweet talking her and BS'ing. But now I think he's really sincere.

Don't worry, atristain, I'm sure you meant to use "Image"...

Unless perhaps "Image" means "HATE"!

No, no. I meant what I said. Image as in "What Ugh hit Thag's head with". Widely used in the Flinstones.

Yeah...I'm not a Stan lover, but I give him big brownie points for making Michelle feel better. Dare I say it, they shared a cute moment?! They did! They did! :D

Fresh and white Stan is here.

Wiggle Jiggle, Yellow Middle
That's the best of what you are

I love you Stan.

White and tender, surround your center
Cozy, sitting in the craclking shell.

(It starts out kinda racist, and gets kinda dirty to keep going with the "Stan" version of the song)[/url]

I actually remember complaining during the election arc that Stan seemed to have no redeeming qualities. Now we see he does. I'm really thinking that's the underlying theme of the whole comic: nobody is all bad, or all good.

The theme Leonard mentions is one I find myself coming back to again and again. I'm not sure if it's the theme of the series, but it's certainly true that everyone in the strip, even the series' "villains," has some good and some evil in them somewhere.
