Aww.
I get Aggie(cause we know her). Sara's too busy being...Sara, to have a boyfriend. I've been in Tharqa's shoes. Jack feels worthless, well at least not worthy of having a girlfriend.
but what's with Mrs. Levac(I mean, she's still married, right?) and Cyndi(who is hot)?

also, goddamn the cluffhanger. I bet the Karen and Marshall situation will be the last one to be solved in this arc :(
I will never understand you. When will I stop trying?

We need to add 'Everyone Else Has Had More Sex Than Me' to the songs on this comic's fanmade CD. XD

Mrs. Levac not gettin any?! Wha?! *gives Mrs. Levac a B&N gift card and some advice* Go to the sexuality section. They've got loads of books you can use to sizzle up the marriage. Make sure to add the Kama Sutra. And an affair is out of the question! *senses an affair brewing* :o

All right, everybody....

Singalong!

::sings::
Everyone else has had more sex than me.
Everyone else has had more sex than me.

Everyone else has had more sex than me.
Does anyone else get that feeling?
Teenagers naked,
Couple in threes...
/sing

As for Cyndi, I'm thinking this is just another way to work her into the comic before she gets her own arc. After all, we don't know anything about her yet. same with Ms. LeVac- a prelude to an arc.

Haha! I really enjoy that song and the flash video made to go with it.

For those who've not seen it:

It's a really catchy song.

There are so many possibly directions this storyline could go now. Especially with Mrs. Levac being amongst them. O:

Well... Mrs. Levac is a kinda nerdy middle-aged woman, married with a couch potato, so I don't see her taking too much action in the subject.

And I like that 2nd panel says us a lot about Sarah: She's not an only child, that little girl is either: her little sister or her older sister's daughter. And she's being Sarah, since she's ignoring the crying brat, like she tends to ignore her parents. If she's babysitting I think it will help her be less self-centered.

Thanks for the link. Never heard the song before, it's great. But: why did they had to put it on continous playing? Now I won't get that song from my head in a while.

It says somewher it was part of a contest to make a video for this song. Does anybody knows about this?

BTW, they use some big words in the song:

"My favourite way to end them
Is the orb-weaver spider's whose pedipalp
Enters the female pudendum."

It's possible she's and only child and that's the neighbor's kid or something, isn't? And she's just a really bad babysitter?

I find it odd Jack feels the need to say "Everyone's doing it except me" aloud while on the computer. What's he lookin' at? For that matter, what're Thraqa and Mrs. Levac reading to stir these thoughts?

I like that P&A are being reasonably realistic. Less people are getting it on than those wishing they could get it on. It's kind of liberating, actually.

Take an educated guess...

Postby Sassy-fras on Fri Sep 15, 2006 9:21 am

I went back to look at today's strip. I'm going to guess Tharqa's reading a main stream magazine like Cosmo or something and Mrs. Levac could be reading a romance novel.

I'm guessing Jack is reading an im or something from Stan about Michelle coming over. libraries and most public places have locks on them so you can't look at pornography or other inappropriate things without spending some time figuring out how to disable the locks. but actually, a lot of them don't allow aim or other messengers, so it's probably an email.

ugh, why don't they all condense themselves and throw one big pity party jamboree. man, it'll probably be another week before we get back to Karen and Marshal, if we even do this storyarch.

Poor bunny.

Anyways, it's a natural thing for teenagers to think this. I mean, we see it on TV, hear in music, see it in movies and we can't help but long for it.

Typical teeange drama.

I'm guessing you haven't been married.

My wife always said she hated the idea that "marriage is sensual death." But after the first year of our marriage, we did it maybe once. You get... used to each other, and it can get boring. Or, you keep waiting for the "right time," which of course never comes. For me, it ended in divorce - a clean and happy divorce, but still a divorce. I'm sure there are married couples who manage to keep up a passion for each other, but it is more difficult than you'd expect - and I haven't even mentioned the turn-off of spending five years together watching kids poop their diapers.

Something that crossed my mind: what if the little snippets we get from each of the characters in this strip is not from a monologue/dialogue about sex? Like, Sara was saying "This is annoying," or Aggie is once again critiquing the way "everyone" behaves, or Mrs. Levac is pondering something aloud. This is just a little blip in my brain and I can totally see how all these characters could be unhappy or insecure about their sexual activity. I just like my crazy theories. Talk amongst yourselves. What if Mr Levac just doesn't want to? He's tired, involved with looking after a teenage daughter, or not interested in sex any more full stop (which can and does happen), or simply not that interested in sex with his wife (which you can be while still loving your wife as your wife). I mean, if he doesn't want to, she may not be able to convince him. Sometimes married folks have very different sexual needs too, and while the 'comedy option' is usually the female not being interested, in reality it can be the guy, which can be traumatic for the woman involved. Could even lead to her not feeling desirable any more...

Hah, nerdy middle-aged women get the most action out of any married couples I know.

However, agree with others about how marriage can often slip into sexual sterility.

(Though also know tons of married couples who are quite... passionate.)

How can I become a cartoon character?

Postby Papuasblya on Sun Sep 17, 2006 10:32 pm

Write me into the story and I'll be happy to steam Ms. Levac's spectacles. The teenyboppers might be drawn hot and perky but Penny's Mom would be an age-appropriate (if otherwise totally inappropriate) delight.

I see myself as a plumber "Hey Mrs. L, I heard you need your drain snaked..."
