Thorns is a pretty bad offensive aura, that's why. Might or Concentration are both good if you're going solo, and rather than using smite, which is great against single enemies like bosses but terrible vs groups, you should have tried switching over to zeal, which is far better at dealing with mobs of enemies. Just don't level it up too high or you'll never be able to break contact when things get too hot to handle.

I've played through Diablo II twice and LOD once, both times with (different) paladins. I got it down to a fine art by the end.

I had like two points in Zeal for when I got surrounded by mobs.

The monsters that gave me trouble were the Act III equivalents of the Fallen Shamans (Fetish... shamans? Resurrect the little cunts), 'cause these ones let loose a flamethrower that would drain my health in like 2 seconds flat, so my plan of attack was run around them and smite them... didn't work when there were like 5 of them one of them stone skin or whatever etc etc.

On the subject of the Demo/Soldier war, As much as I wanted the demos to win, its obvious that the soldiers are better for most players. After all I would say many of the kills on thier side would simply be from encounteres around corners seeing as soldiers can easily twitch kill someone but demos have to be a really good shot to kill so quickly. Demos really need more of the planning, so most demo players are going to die more because they dont plan enough.

Playing with a monk gave me the best results so far. Worshiping the Multitude also helps, since they summon for you a batch of demons that follow you at some point of the game.
Always got owned as a priest of that cthulu like deity, because enemies could stop me from summoning celestials pretty easily. At least I could control fish people, that was useful when there was any.

Finally!

The AoD demo is released!
If this thing succeeds RPGs might finally look up to Fallout again.

AoD = Age of Decadence? If so, I might have to take a look. Looks interesting, I haven't played a complicatedRPG for a while.

I played it with vertical splitscreen on the 360, but it wasn't a nice experience because it doesn't change the interface at all, it just means you have to scroll left and right to read things in your tiny window. I do recall saying that it'd be much better on PC because being an FPS it needs more precise controls. Passing over items that've fallen on the ground three or four times with the control stick before you actually land on it is kind of annoying.

Yeah, Age of Decadence. Still haven't managed to get past the war veterans, although I could probably kill them if they were separated.

I quit playing when I couldn't move and attack because I didn't have enough action points... but the ranged figher could. So he would move, attack. I would move at him, he would move out of range and attack.

You should try approaching him diagonally, that way he can shoot at you and you're not too far away.
And also you could run away and wait for him to waste his ammo.
Or maybe use fast attacks.

Woo getting better at TF2, rarely play it but it's getting a lot more fun.

Favourite class is the sniper, 39 kills, 11 deaths, 10 assists, 20 headshots, 5 dominations in a couple of rounds of ctf (first to 3) on 2fort. Don't know if that's considered good or average but it's good for me :P

Nice, I usually consider a positive KDR to be good, I try to keep it above 2:1 in a match.

I finally bought a new computer! Once I get a case for it all I'll actually be able to start playing TF2 faster than a Powerpoint.

I can run L4D1/2 currently, TF2 is just really badly optimized from its constant updates, which sucks because it's my most played game.

The only thing wrong with Francis is the hair, which I'd say is only there because it's a test shoot.
I'm sure he'd shave it off for the final.

He fucking better.

It was sold pretty cheaply down here in Mole land, but I forgot to buy it and I'm too lazy to torrent it. Is there a patch to replace the shitty translation?

Nah. There was a translation project (of which I was a proud member), but it died in the arse some time last year and never got back up. Since Pathologic was made Ice Pick Lodge have brought on board a new translator who actually understands English, and he seems to be interested in attempting a second, 'official' translation of the game. Not sure if that is going to come in the form of a remake of Pathologic (which I doubt) or if it will be a patch/mod for the original, though.
