A quarter long A, same octave?

I have no idea what that would even sound like...

Added an eighth long E

So far, an eighth left to complete the bar.

I vote for either an eighth rest
or
c. (Third down)

Added a quarter F on the beginning again, we could go for some sort of variation

Quarter A then shake it down with a Quarter B.

That last quarter B should be accented and I think it would be better if it was a quarter and a half. (Is that how you say it? Im not used to the american system)

Follow that with an eighth B, one octave higher

There's an American system? Fair enough about the B, by the way.

In reference to the "american system" I mean calling things, full notes, half notes and so on when speaking in natural time. Im used to talking about music in crotchets, minims etc. ^^;

I'm not used to talking about music full stop, so either system is pretty alien to me.

Now in MIDI form, let's do a counterpoint to it now, maybe first species if we don't want stuff to get complicated.

Starting with quarter C anyways

I'll let you guys write the counterpoint, I couldn't make head nor tail of the article explaining first species. I shall contribute to the proceedings thus:

This plan has my approval. :smug:
