I just know that people will buy a piece of Uranus just to make silly jokes...

OK, this site is pretty worthless, but momentarily amusing. A gamer I know recommended it, so maybe there's more to it than animated ASCII art.

Poor Cookie Monster.

This isn't really a crazy site, but it's wacky enough news, I figured. :)

I have no clue how long this must have taken but... da-yum

Edit: oh yeah, unless you're a serious video game geek, you probably won't get a lot of the humor involved

Here's a couple of really fun ones that I've wasted too many hours on:

The link is: http://www.eyezmaze.com

Try the GROW simulation (the big red ball) and Tontie (The hammer icon in the upper right). Those are the best two, I think. Hatch (the egg on the left) and Vanilla (the tree icon) are pretty good too.

Give them a try!

If you like sweet, this you can't beat. A series of flash toons from Korea. Almost entirely word-free, so no language barrier.

"There She Is" is good; "There She Is 2: Cake Dance" is hilarious.

This, on the other hand, is NOT sweet. This is jawdroppingly stupid, money-wasting, self-indulgent, and arguably abusive. But you'll probably get a laugh out of it, particularly if you're cynical; you wouldn't believe me if I described it to you.

I guess I'm cynical enough. I almost gave myself a concussion from hitting my head on my desk laughing.

The truly painful part? I live in a part of the country where people brag about the size of their pets' testicles. They don't neuter down here. And they sure as hell wouldn't neuter a dog and put any sort of thing inside there. What good are they if they can't knock up another animal?

sheesh.

Nothing new on the web to share. Life's been hectic!

Double trouble.

The first time you do "fight" it's pretty silly. The second and third times you do "fight" are geek-out hilarious.

Yes, it sounds incredibly vile. Ruining a perfectly good Fuji apple like that (my favorite apple) is sacreligious.

Culled from Teh Internets, based on a fond childhood memory:

Herrings Go About the Sea In Shawls... (And Other Classic Howlers From Classrooms And Examination Papers); Illustrations by Dr. Seuss. Retitled edition of the 1931 book The Pocket Book of Boners.

They RETITLED it because of that word. (Well, that and its conjunction with the word "pocket." *snrk*)

(No, I'm not THAT old. The book was still in print under the original title as late as the '70s, I think. I'm not sure, but I don't think that word went to Hell until Beavis and Butt-head got ahold of it...)

213 Things Skippy Is No Longer Allowed To Do In the U.S. Army

Granted, I'm married to the Army, but I thought this was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I had to stop reading by about #60 simply because I couldn't breathe!

If you need an explanation for something, let us know. There are enough of us military wonks in the Pub to help out.

I got 14 out of 15, but then I've been in engineering for 40 years.
