I am beginning to suspect that we have seen the last of Vigilante Ho! darn it!

It is obvious the Megs is too busy with other projects to find the time to do the art for the strip. I am not saying anything beyond that she has 'bitten off more'n she can chew' at this point, and needs to cut back somewhere, and it looks lik VH is the one to get dropped.

Such is life.

That would explain the freeze-frame over on Naught Framed as well.

Is this the end of the story for Vigilante Ho!? Or, is there more story and just not enough time to do the art for it?

If the delay is art-related, perhaps a once a week update like Jackie's Fridge could help share the story with the fans.

If the delay is story-related, I'd like to volunteer to write a story arc and submit it to John and Meaghan to see if they like it.

Who knows, maybe I'll do a story arc anyway and post it here as a fan fic.

There's more than enough story to go around. Meaghan's just incredibly busy with "real" life and her computer is crapping out on her to boot.

Yeah really, I'm about to use Deadwood-style language here if I don't get more VH.

And I don't mean the Victorian prose part of the dialogue.

A female heroine in the wild west isn't something you see everyday. I've seen sci-fi comics done in a psuedo western atmosphere, some of which featured women prominently, but not anything done with women in the true wild west, at least not as a strong lead character.

There are a few historical instances of women dressing as men and having adventures, but their stories aren't widely known. Even Annie Oakley dressed as a woman, though she wore leggings under her slightly shortened skirts. She didn't act as a bounty hunter or do anything too daring, so far as I'm aware - she just performed in Buffalo Bill's wild west show. She was a refined lady that just happened to be an excellent shot.
