A message to everyone I have met via this forum.

Postby theopenandclosedbook on Wed Jan 18, 2012 2:49 am

Well...I've been looking back on my time on Mayhem and I realised...I was really a dick. Looking back on what I've done. The way I've treated people.

Mayhem was my first real community on the internet. You guys accepted me and during my time here, I've upset or annoyed a lot of people.

And now, I want to say this to everyone. I'm sorry, I've been an idiot, a fool and I want to change that going forward. I know Mayhem as a community isn't really as vibrant as it was, but I want to say sorry and do what I can to make amends.

I especially want to say sorry to Yun, Malachy19, Kalga, Ting Yi, Valgaav, ChroniclerC and kgirl. Those people I know I annoyed more than others >.>

Thanks and sorry again.

Don't worry. I went though the same thing. About three times.
The only defining characteristic between knowledge and belief is the point of view.
If making a story or RP is like baking cookies, then angst is the vanilla extract. You don't put any in, and the final product is bland, and tasteless. Put too much in, and it's bitter and gross. But if you use just the right amount, then you get something truly delicious.

Except me. I hide in the corner and secretly plot my revenge.

Just kidding! :D

...or am I?

Nice of you to apologize though and try to make amends. Shows class.

I can't remember you doing anything dickish. And I've done my share of crappy things. So I wouldn't worry about it too much

Haha, there was a few things you did around me, but it's all water under the bridge. All is forgiven on this end. It was actually amusing; I knew it would eventually reach this point. It's really nice to see some of the more... misaligned youths grow up. It always seems so encouraging. You're welcome to anything I'm working on, Book.

Hmm. This makes me wonder how Jesse, god of awesome is doing. He was another one who I had some troubles with in the past (although I won't divulge what and would appreciate anyone who knows to remain silent). I'm betting he's made himself into something good as well - or so I hope. But as someone who was also very misguided and a bit rebellious in my youth, I always love seeing someone make the turnaround. Just warms those cackling pump vessels.

Jesse has been on the forum in recent months, so I think we can safely say that he's still around. He has moved on considerably from his earlier efforts and become a fairly decent roleplayer and Mayhem citizen. (I think I know to what AP is alluding, but I won't comment...)

Don't beat yourself up over your past mistakes, Book. Just be sure to learn from them, and move on. Come in to O'Lionheart's Pub - it's open to all comers.

Thank you everyone. I'm glad you guys are so forgiving.

@TingYi: Thanks. I know you were friends with Mal and that lot, so if possible, can you just tell them I've left this message?

@AP: Thanks. Does this mean you were taking bets? :P

If you have any grievances to air or any problems you had with me, please let me know. I'm taking this as a chance to finally sort things out once and for all.
