If you have a comic, review or whatever, you may hype away here.

Here are a few rules to posting in this thread:

1. Please Be nice! Don't say anything to anyone you wouldn't say to their face. If you happen to be an asshole who would cuss your own grandmother out, don

Hyping a site

How about this site - The USS Freedom Trek sim.

We're a Trek sim with a heavy dose of comedy. We need it too as this "ship of fools" is often breaking down, running mostly on "warped humor" every week. We don't have werecats, though with the Caitians "cat humor" inevitably comes up. ;)

And oh yeah, don't drink the water from "Planet Junkeskyo."

Really? The Ba took Jamie's admonition to mean not to make a new thread just to hype one's comic, but rather to post it in this topic, or where it directly applies to another thread. But hey, what does the Ba know?

Well, the last half of that kinda contradicts the first half... But I think Jamie basically meant not to spam. But if you'd like to promote a site on just this forum, for us special CotC people, you can use thisTopic line...

I didn't intend for this thread to be used as a spam holder, but if that's what people want and now that we have Tig's permission ;) I say so be it.

Another option to keep in mind, and one that has worked well for me, is to pimp your comic or site in your signature line. That way, it's not the main post, but it's part of every post. Also, no one seems to mind it.

Of course, right now my signature line is just a clever quote I got from the Jargon File. :D

I try to get a daily fix of my Keenspot!

Any chance that Chelsa and/or Raven will be help GPF get back on its feet?

And will Chelsa fastForward to help the Clan get rid of the KLAN aka Reich?

Cheers!

OK, you want spam you got it... WHAT AM I SAYING!?!

Sorry, temporary insanity there...

But while I'm here, I might as well recommend an e-columnist I know, Seanan McGuire. Her column, "A Phouka Walks Into A Bar", is extremely funny and strange, despite the persistent absence of any Phoukas in it (true, she claims to be a coyote herself, but I'm not sure that it counts). Anyway, her older columns can be found in the archives of "Alien Wine Connoiseur", while you can subscribe to get her newest postings by mailing Seanan at delirium@xocolatl.com, if you're interested.

OK, so it was spam after all. My bad.

Well, just so long as it is allowed in this thread...

I'd like to cheerlead for another Premium-only comic, Thomas Dye's Manifestations, following up two characters from his strip Newshounds into a rather darker tale. It has furry elements (a mink) and supernatural elements (the mink again - that Newshounds story got a bit rough), so I think it's fairly relevant. Thomas is a brilliant artist and storyteller, so this should be well worth following. And it's on Saturdays, so it doesn't give Mel any competition.

My interest? Just a Thomas Dye fan with a squishy spot for the abovementioned mink - sort of Bambi's Mother with advanced computer skills. And it looks like an interesting project, so I'd love for it to get a good audience.

That reminds me to ask...

Is there a list of all the Premium comics out there?

I was only aware of Mel and that Evil Wendy one that's featured on the Keenspot page....

How do you find the rest???
I didn't know about this Manifestations....Reading it now
very odd....

I can't find a list. What should be the "Exclusive Content" page in the Premium details just gives more info on the ad-free surfing. I've only heard of the three Premium comics. "Manifestations" hasn't been advertised that much - there's a nice banner for it, but I've only ever seen it on the Newshounds page. The mink and Angie come from a Newshounds story starting 26 Feb '01.

What about hyping this comic?

Is irrational exuberance permitted under such circumstances?

What about CRFH?

Are these lists of short questions irritating?

Another lady in the dark

Postby Tim Tylor on Mon May 05, 2003 1:07 am

Here's one I've plugged in too many forums already, but it's sharp, beautiful and quixotic enough to deserve special attention. And its heroine would have great sympathy for Chelsea over the Curse - if she could overlook her felinity.

A comic this good shouldn't need hyping. :D (Need a brown-nose smilie here.)

Of course, in the real world everything needs a push, so here's one for another webcomic that deserves it:

Dylan

A story of musicians, dogs, dogs who are musicians, and humans who are the friends of both. Presently guest-starring the great screen-thespian Harry Horsecollar. It's creator Rory O'Bannion is a sharp musician and a fine friend himself. :D
