Will there be a book?

Postby Guairdean on Sat Jan 22, 2005 8:15 am

My wife (and very own Kestrel) and I are big fans of QoW and we'll both be sad when it ends. I'll gladly purchase a compilation of the strips when (and if) it arrives. I'll pay double if it's autographed.

I would also be interested in a book of the series.

I would buy a QoW book, and I'm so cheap so this is unusual.

book

Postby jbrecken on Wed Jan 26, 2005 4:04 pm

I think I'd buy it, but only if this hypothetical book were in color (which probably means it would be more expensive). The art would lose a lot of flavor if it were grayscale.

:o i accidently posted a new topic the first time, this time I am replying!
anyway ... I remember Aerie saying something about a book, way back when, it was on the QoW web page in the lil side bar 'news' part.
Then again I could be lying, or hallucinating .. or both. Who knows, but I'd definitely buy it!

Two questions

Postby HiFranc on Sun Jan 30, 2005 3:08 am

Is it available on Amazon (UK)?

{edit}Checked and it is.

What's in the book? I never buy something without knowing what I'm buying.[1]

[1] In fact there a lots of books I've rejected simply because the blurb didn't go into enough details.

Most likely, it's the first year, or first few major story-arcs, or something like that. I doubt that Aeire would be able to put the whole comic into a single book... besides the product description says "Series 1".

I'm sure that once someone gets ahold of it, you can ask how much is in it.

Me? don't friggen care. that book will be mine!!!!

MINE I TELL YOU!

Now... how to get it autographed... hmmm....

How do we get our books autographed? Easy! A road trip! I'm sure Aeire won't mind a few hundred people lined up at her door with books and pens in hand.

The shipping date is listed as June 30th. Does anyone know if that date will hold? I hope so, that road trip to get it signed is looking pretty good right now.

She's usually at the San Diego Comic convention whose name escapes me know, so it would probably be easier just to show up there. As an added bonus you would get to see other webcomic artists as well.

Why do I have to be in the wrong country to go on the road trip. I would have an air trip or something, and I don't think I can do that for one little signiture.

Count me in for a book! It's showing it won't be shipped until the end of October...gives us a month to figure out how to get it autographed!
