God, I hate these guys. I have to deal with them way too often at my comic shop. Sad thing is that most of them aren't drooling over stuff like the "bondage babe" Dorthy from "The Twisted Land of Oz". They get all intense over the points of articulation in the latest Marvel Legends release...

Holy Drooling Articulations, Starman!

Postby gwalihir on Fri Jan 21, 2005 7:18 pm

YEARGH!

I know what you mean! Just gaming at a store, I can remember the guys going ga-ga over the latest Spiderman fig: what was it? 88 points of articulation?

Great: so Spidey can flip 'em the birdie! Is it really worth $80, $120, or whatever just for a stupid sight gag like that?

This reminds me of the arguments over who would win in a fight between Captain Kirk and Darth Vader. I always thought it was the silliest question I'd ever heard. Everyone knows that Paul Atreides could kick both their butts.

- Excuse me... your fresh bread is... warm.
- *pauses* Well... Yes, it's fresh bread. It jus came out of the oven.
- You mean you have the time to do that? I don't believe you.
- It's usually what clerks do in a baker--
- I'm sure it's this morning's old bread, coming right out of the microwave!
- *pauses again* The... microwave? *glances at 3 feet long baguette* Hmmm...
- Yeah. *places THREE FEET LONG BAGUETTE BREAD back on rack* I'll come back when it's _really_ fresh. *stalks away*

I know the feeling. So well.

agreed. the sheer awesome of it overloads my logic circuitry and engages the dork circuitry that makes me love action figures, models, and videogames.

also, that guy scares me.

Not for the faint hearted

Postby HiFranc on Mon Feb 07, 2005 10:23 am

Someone in the CotC forum posted a link to the item they were talking about.

Warning: Do not look at the link if you have a sensitive dispostion. I can vouch for the fact that it is sickening.

Can you really buy this in a toy shop in America?!?

For those who are interested, the thread is here.
